“Most conservatives loved Sarah. But conservatives are a minority in America.”
I wouldn’t call 34% a minority. And the 34% is tired of having no representation.
Exit Poll Media Shocker: Conservatives Still Outnumber Liberals

Here are the relevant numbers (2004 here and 2008 here):
* 21 percent claimed to be liberal in 2004 versus 22 percent in 2008
* 34 percent claimed to be conservative in both 2004 and 2008

I voted for Barr because I live in Texas, and Obama wasn't going to win Texas. But, to help McCain in swing states, I sent him money. Did my money help pay for $20K-$40K worth of clothes for
Todd Palin?! If so, I want it back.
Palin is a phony. Most Americans now dislike her. The only possible way that Palin could win in 2012 is if Americans are worse off in four years than they are now. Frankly, regardless of who is in power, I hope that isn't the case.

To the McCain staff and Republican Party leaders...Name one name.
It's emotional posts like yours derived from unnamed sources that keeps conservatives wondering in the wilderness.
To: ODDITHER
A better way to let your displeasure be known is to call the RNC office at 202-863-8500. Tell them to pass along your message to McCain to SHUT HIS STAFF UP. It is cowardly to let her take the fall for the loss. She is the one who energized the Republicans in America.

I'm starting to think that maybe some of the McCain "staff" were obama implants.
The elitists on the left resort to personal attacks because they don't have any ammunition to attack on anything else.
Take this African continent thing...they're trying to make a Dan Quayle "Potatoe" [sic] moment out of it, and it's not.
Now we all know that geography doesn't have a damn thing to do with whether she can lead, or communicate - as President or VP, she would have staff and aides to tend to those details. But the MSM has internal multi-orgasums at the thought of tripping her up on anything.
The truth is, the left keeps getting elected because they COMMUNICATE with their people...and we get Bush and McCain, neither of which excels in public speaking.
Sarah - on the other hand - is marvelous as communicating. She is the consumate salesperson of conservative ideals -0 which is why they attack her so violently.
Think about it, if after McCain announced her and she showed up as a ditzy blonde with an IQ of room temperature, the only thing you would have heard from the left is, "Nice legs.". But from the minute she started talking that entire convention hall fell in to silent, rapt, attention to her every word.
She connected immediately with everyone there, even the ones who were not that keen on McCain. But, it wasn't her geography skills or her knowledge of the elusive "Bush doctrine" that mesmerized them, it was just "Sarah" being Sarah.
That scared the crap out of liberals, and the MSM, and they went into full attack mode. Remember, liberals are mostly cocky, and if they think they don't have anything to fear, they'll just brush it off and go on their merry way. But, they didn't where Sarah is concerned.
Like the Black Panthers at the Pennsylvania polling place, the liberals closed ranks and threatenly tapped their proverbial nightsticks when Sarah tried to enter the race.
Cris Matthews and the "View" girls were put on full alert and the New York Times renewed their 90-day loan to stay in business long enough to throw barbs at her, and her family too.
What you saw from the left was not cocky arrogance - it was FEAR of Governor Sarah Palin.
Frankly, I don't know how she did it. I do not know how she endured all the slings and arrows of outrageous slander hurled her way during her short time in the campaign. She must be dead tired, and mentally bruised by what she had to endure...I would be.
And now the McCain staffers are piling on as hard as they can go. Has anyone heard McCain speak up and tell them to chill out? Has he come to her defense in all this?
Friends, McCain was a loser from the start. When they announced him, I had the same sick feeling as when they announced Bob Dole. Both great patriots and good, honest men...but not Presidential material in this new age.
Now, whether Palin will be back on the National scene or not, I don't know. I think I would have flipped them all an obama "finger".
I challenge all those pundits, on the left and the right, to pull off what she just did this year. Let them put up with vicious attacks on their families; let them be thrown into the lions den of the MSM. I doubt that a one of them could do it even near as well as Sarah pulled it off.
We all need to quit mentally preparing her for four years from now...a million things could happen between now and then.
Why can't we - as conservatives - just be glad we had the chance to know such a remarkable woman, if for no other reason to set an example for all our daughters that you don't have to be a mangy, nose-picking, abortion-loving, liberal woman to be an independent and powerful woman.
Sarah, I'm glad to have known you...good luck in all of you endeavors.

True, but there were also many liberals who respected her. It’s a shame that our so-called conservatives at the upper levels of power won’t at least show her that same respect!
For me, I have contacted them and I for one will leave this party if this continues.

No, no, let them speak. And let them come forward and put their names and their faces to what they’re saying. We need to know whose careers need to go bye-bye. You don’t play a part in what’s been done to that woman over the last two months and get to walk away whistling a happy tune.

Indeed. Everyone is blaming our own candidates without any evidence. It's ridiculous and has to stop. The Drive-Bys tell them to blame our candidates, and they do it.
Years of documenting the propaganda that comes from the Drive-Bys and these people still don't get it.
Now imagine the next four years around here with posters so easily swayed. I'm not going to waste my time correcting it.

I believe 34 percent are conservatives but the conservatives include two strains as far as I can see. A group of religious conservatives for whom issues such as abortion are up at the top of their list. And a group of less religious or secular ones more concerned with taxation, size of governnment.
And therein the conservatives can be split. It may be hard to have one from the first group elected in my humble opinion.

I don’t care about his religion. You shouldn’t even mention it, it just gives an opening for his bots to call you a “bigot”.
His LOUSY record as Governor and history of being a liberal is what matters.

How exactly can i tell the difference between a leftist and a RINO anyway? Face it,,our party in DC has been filled with people who picked Repub solely as a career path. They would have been just as happy as Dems.

I wouldnt call 34% a minority.
What a perfect illustration of the problem. 34% is a minority.

Smitten is no way to go through politics. Show me another Republican who drew tens of thousands out of their homes to hear him/her speak? Were they all "smitten" or was her message of pro-growth, small government conservatism resonating?
You can ignore her because she couldn't immediately come up with an answer on prior USSC decisions in 10 seconds or you might want to listen to what her principles are. Sound bites are no way to go through politics.
