Has FR Changed Its "Editorial Position" on Vanities? (Vanity)

Is it just me, or has the number of pre- and post-election vanities risen exponentially? I thought vanities were discouraged in the posting guidelines?
Is this a permanent change, or are the (gracious and beneficent) mods just allowing a grace period for people to blow off steam?
(I hope it's the latter.)

This place always turns into vanity central around big elections. Yes, it's worse than ever before right now. Yesterday's loss means there's not much published news that most of us want to see anyway. We need a break from the news to start to regroup & vent.

Guilty as charged, but I’m sure Mr. Robinson and the mods are being generous to let us vent.
On a different note, anybody else noticing that the talking heads on CNBC are talking up pulling your money off the sidelines and putting it back in the market?
They don’t want a down stock market today. Maybe the TINman’s buddy, George Soros, could repatriate the trillions he controls in the Cayman Islands and help his old friend out.

I think (hope) it's a temporary thing. Partially blowing-off steam. Partially a reaction to the near-total turnover of the news stream to liberal MSM personalities for the purpose of expressing their rapturous joy. They've once again controlled the outcome of an American election! They've still got the juice!
What's the point of basing discussion threads on real news items, when the "real news" is nothing but the vanity of the MSM?
You may have noticed the earlier story about Russia moving missiles up to the Polish border. The real world will be crashing the party soon enough. Joe Biden was finally right about something!

It is ok for folks to stand around the virtual coffee pot and vent about the election.
By tomorrow normalcy should come back to FR and we can again read the stories picked by FR members from the blogs, msm, and other sources that those members deem important for others to read.
