Dubya seceeded by Aitch! What is the new Grass Roots movement?
Self | 11/04/2008 | Self

Posted on 11/04/2008 8:49:00 PM PST by An American!

8 years ago our beloved W (Dubya) was elected and now we have an H (Aitch).
I am in total shock that our United States elected someone we know next to nothing about. With so many unanswered questions why did it not matter to almost 55% of Americans? I am in shock that Murtha was re-elected. I am in shock that the polls were right.

Now is the time to not over-react, but to begin laying a foundation for a future victory. What issues are good ones for a grass roots movement? Abortion? Faith? Flat Tax? Property rights?

It is obvious that the youth are willing to vote. It is obvious that whatever movement, it cannot be limited to rural areas, but must gain momentum in population areas.
I am in shock and numb, but somewhere out there is the seeds to a new start.

the campaign for which will be starting in, well, about 15 or 20 minutes.

You can be CERTAIN that the BO team is going to use their leftover money to do exactly that...set up for 4 years from now...they know they now have the target on their back...they flew under the radar most of the first year of campaigning and organizing...whether BO wins or not in 2012 will depend a lot on the other teams ground game...will it keep up with the very strong one that Aitch has?

We need to check out our local school boards, and the cirriculum (stealth-like at first).

Actually Stealth has nothing to do with it in my opinion. It is all about finding conservatives who WANT to be on the school board and then helping organize a campaign to put them there! Protesting...complaining...whining...etc will not effect the change needed. The school boards themselves must be made up of REAL people! I am sure there are some already on the board who just need vocal local support and additional team mates to give them the confidence to stand up the liberal ideology themes invading our schools.

Sounds very interesting. I firmly believe the Ground Game is critical to motivating and finding the non-voters and turning them into that difference maker. The Ground Game is also about keeping the base intact. Hard to build a tall building without a good foundation.

“You mean nearly 3 times higher than the re-elected Pelosi’s?” Pointing out another idiot who has no approval rating does help your argument. Armature tactic.

Republicans need to get their head out of their arse otherwise you can count on loosing more elections. You'll catch on, I know you can.

So now i guess we should expect tons of attacks since Bush is on the way out?

I’ve been trying to say the potential is there for a “come back.” However, this will only occur if the Republicans become what they said they were for years instead of using conservatism to win elections and dropping it at the door once the election is finished.

Where did I say that? Don't put words in my mouth. The only person who has mentioned a crisis occurring in our near future is that beacon of intelligence, Joe Biden.

I asked a question because it seems like you are suggesting that.

I think you hit it right on the head. I agree with you. This is what they all need to realize.

"I asked a question because it seems like you are suggesting that."

That's what you read into my comment. I simply said that you weren't willing to give the President credit for keeping us safe since 9/11. Where do I suggest we're in for multiple attacks?

I don't know if you caught this, but the day after the election the local base gym where I work out had CNN on and the network was advertising T Shirts with Obama making election history (or something close to it) emblazoned on them.

Could you just imagine the reaction if McCain had won instead and Fox News had advertised T Shirts with Sarah Palin making history (as the first female VP)?

In addition, you could just tell the anchors and their Talking Head pundits were all beside themselves...it was almost as though I were witnessing an orgasmic group session on live television.

Truly sickening to say the least.

...This just makes me thankful I no longer subscribe to cable at all, despite a few good channels (TCM, Fox News, History Channel, A&E)...but clearly not worth the $60 plus bucks per month.

The fastest growing segment of the US population is the Hispanic group. The republicans would do well to begin working with this group to find young leaders in this demographic.

“My fellow immigrants...my fellow Americans...how do you know if you are a Republican...I will tell you how...if you believe the government should be accountable to the people, not the people to the government...then you are a Republican.”
