WHETHER or not Barack Obama wins election tomorrow, his campaign has exposed some gaping weaknesses in the electoral process - and some even more serious problems with today's mass media. The question is whether the political establishment will be willing to do anything about them.
On the electoral side, we've seen allegations of massive voter fraud, often backed up by actual arrests and investigations. The FBI has opened an investigation into the Obama-friendly group ACORN, which has been associated with fraudulent registrations and other misconduct in many jurisdictions.
In Indiana, CNN noted, of 5,000 registrations turned in, the first 2,000 turned out to be fraudulent. In Kansas City, officials found hundreds of bogus registrations. CNN also reported on the case of Clifton Mitchell, an ex-ACORN worker who served time in prison for voter fraud.
In Pennsylvania, ACORN worker Jemar Barksdale was arrested for voter fraud involving fake registrations. Meanwhile, the state of Ohio turned up 200,000 questionable voter registrations, but Ohio officials went to court to avoid having to respond. In Michigan, an ACORN worker has been charged with forgery. ACORN activists even tried to register Mickey Mouse to vote in Florida.
Indianapolis, meanwhile - along with some counties in Alabama and Mississippi - turned out to have more registrants than actual live voters. And in Connecticut, a group of journalism students discovered 8,500 dead people still on the rolls, people whose identities could be used to cast fraudulent ballots.

The one whose name is on the SS database as actually holding that number and the one whose drivers license matches the registration info. Again, as moonbat says, it is not rocket science.
Never happen with the dems controlling the House and Senate. In the midst of all the voter fraud news, they wanted a portion of the bailout to go to ACORN!
Given the lack of intelligence, patriotism or courage of the current batch of "Americans" -- we'd be a whole lot better off raising the dead of our "Finest Generation"....
Just Say no — to SOCIALISM!!
Does no one consider the innocents killed in Iraq? Never a word for them. Abortion is horrible. Viability is protected because of the consciousness raised by this issue. But it’s too often used a wedge. Murder is murder in a “war” that is really an invasion. There was and is no justification. Please speak out for the dead innocents and their mothers and their sons.
Speaking of fraud...I just spoke with my 27 year old son who lives in NYC. Two of his friends paid for their own flights to Ohio to vote illegally for Obama. He also knows of carpools of young people driving to Pennsylvania to vote. I hope this is not possible. What is the point of elections?
Obama is going to get beat so bad all this voter fraud stuff will be meaningless. EVs are the ticket. The electoral map will look like 1980 on Nov 5.
I weep for every zotted troll. (A teardrop falls).
Boo hoo.
Now go back to the DU that spawned you.
I knew that..
I believe the nation would be far better off if those we have lost were once again among us...
They were our GREATEST GENERATION....
The average American today wouldn't amount to more than a pimple on their derrieres.
40 years of Democrats holding the House was also among the greatest generation’s legacy. They were socially conservative, for the most part, but were fiscally left wingers. It’s how we ended up with split government & why some of the worst fiscal policies got signed into law by GOP presidents.
The “new tone” means democrats get away with criminal behavoir and republicans go to jail.
Can’t we make people dip their finger in purple ink?
EXACTLY.....We have TWO ballots in our hands right now....one for Washington State and one for Oregon State.....this should NOT happen!
