Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), today issued the following statement in response to just-released remarks from Senator Barack Obama about the nation's coal industry. "Regardless of the timing or method of the release of these remarks, the message from the Democratic candidate for President could not be clearer: the Obama-Biden ticket spells disaster for America's coal industry and the tens of thousands of Americans who work in it.

"That is why we should put a end to early voting and have only one "election day".
The constitution says the first Tuesday in November, but then again, Barry doesn't believe in that little piece of paper anyways.

I can’t help but wonder just how many of those coal workers will go ahead and vote for Zero anyway.

Obama Ticket Not Supportive of Coal Yeah, in the same way John Wayne Gacy was not supportive of young boys.

Where was the Ohio Coal Association, and other energy PACs, when Biden was caught on tape telling some libchick that they wouldn't allow even clean coal?
I spent a week in Northeastern Ohio right after that and a week in mid-October, and heard nor saw a word about it.
"Too Little, Too Late" and "We're Just Trying to Make It Look Like We're Trying Hard" are the two driving slogans of the McCain campaign.

Thats half my family will be destroyed..alot work in the coal industry...First election where I hit the trifecta:
1. Conservative.
2. Catholic (pro-life)
3. Employee of a coal mining company (started 3 weeks ago).
If it will make you feel any better, I sure haven't noticed any trepidation among my fellow workers this morning. Let your heart be calm...we're going to get through this storm.

it is one thing to make us pro environment but totally another to bankrupt all of these states and put so many of us in the dark with no nuclear plants or anything to pick up the speed. oh, guess thats what those national civilian forces or rather umm, reeducation camps that Obama wants are for. I hope it is enough to tip the scale. I really do.

I hope they didnt early vote!
Thats why Obama urgently requested that people vote early, because finally each day a little more about the creep trickles out.

Can anyone tell me whether the local TV news in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado, etc., are picking up on this coal bankrupt and skyrocketing energy story? I know what the networks are (not) doing.

This would have done MAJOR damage if it was released about a week ago. It will still help, but we needed this last week...

"I was the first to call for a hundred-percent auction on the cap-and-trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases that was emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted-down caps that are imposed every year. So if somebody wants to build a coal power plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted." - Barack HUSSEIN Obama "The one thing we fail to talk about is those costs that you don't see on the bottom line. That is coal makes us sick, oil makes us sick; it's global warming. It's ruining our country, its ruining our world. Weve got to stop using fossil fuel. - Harry Reid
