Neal Cavuto on Cavuto's World just announced a poll that's come out on likely voters in which McCain leads by one point. Cavuto didn't say the name of the poll.

Question about Pew: have they ever been biased toward the GOP?

Do they lean heavy Dem or are they just wildly inaccurate in every which way?

If the former, then this is still good news.
If the latter, then "Nevermind" </EmilyLatella>

Yeap, the way I read that chart obama is leading.

I know zogby had a one day poll for Friday with Mc in the lead.

Its not Pew and its not Zogby. Both of which are laughable to say the least.

All that matters is he comes out on top in the Electoral College poll on Tuesday!

What poll is showing this one point McCain lead, ANYBODY???
People keep saying Pew, but someone just posted the Pew numbers on here, and it’s still a 6 or 7 point spread.

Maybe Cavuto was thinking about Zogby’s Friday night poll?

It is the Pew poll.

“More significant, the race is about even among voters who plan to vote on Election Day: 46% support McCain while 45% favor Obama.”

Pew.

that isn’t quite accurate though......McCain is up by 1 in terms of those going to vote election day.

In terms of those responding to the poll who already voted “or plan to vote still before election day,” Obama led by a decent margin supposedly.

Good news considering it has Dems oversampled 10 points.

Dick Morris, for what its worth, believes Obama below 49 is toast, because the undecideds have already decided not to go with him. Which means they’ll break for McCain, or they’ll stay home.

Turn out, people.

Thank you.

This is interesting considering they over sample dems by 10%

No. As I stated in the post, it was a live announcement made by Neil cavuto. It just came off the wires so I could not post a link.

Say what you want, but Dick Morris has been for us GOPers this election. he was one of the few on FOX who believed Mac had a chance.

I agree with Morris, Zero is toast.

To be accurate, McCain is up by 1% among LV WHO PLAN TO VOTE ON ELECTION DAY, according to Pew. 0bama is up 6 overall based on (alleged) huge early voting lead.

Oh crap. If McCain leads in Pew he probably leads by 10 points.

But if you throw in the busloads of homeless people for Obama and you throw in all the dead people voting for Obama, then Obama leads by 5.

It is a Pew poll for those who will vote on election day and doesn't include those who have already voted.

Peterborough’s population is just under 6,000 people, their venue has space for 800......it’s also in southwest NH, the liberal heart of the state.

This seems significant. A candidate's internal polls are so thorough, they can narrow it down to the towns, if not the precincts they need to visit. This is very important because candidates can only hold so many rallies so it's necessary to hold them in the places you need to challenge or shore up rather than waste time in areas you have in the bag of which you know are lost causes.

McCain holding a rally in a liberal part of NH may mean that the area is really up for grabs.

“Obama Is Too Radical” — brilliant! This sign addresses the concerns of many Democrats and Independents. No wonder the Obama folks hate this sign. Thumbs up for doing good work!

Obama holds a wide lead over John McCain among those who say they have already voted (32% of all likely voters) or say they plan to vote before Election Day (7%). However, it is not quite as large as it was a week ago.

More significant, the race is about even among voters who plan to vote on Election Day: 46% support McCain while 45% favor Obama.

PEW POLL

Just an FYI, the poll shows an Obama lead.

The poll also shows an Obama lead among those talked to who said they had early voted or ‘planned’ to early vote.

The 1-point lead talked about is only in the subgroup of those who said they will vote on election day specifically.

So, that is good news with a 10-point Dem advantage in the poll.

In terms of those responding to the poll who already voted “or plan to vote still before election day,” Obama led by a decent margin supposedly.

People have been analyzing early voting in swing states like FL and CO and Obama's not getting the numbers he needs there to win. Perhaps in early voting nationally, Obama is winning, but that counts early voting in all states, even those that are deep blue.
