Wow, this one's gonna be close! As a Minnesota, I am absolutely sick that a mental midget like Al Franken can even be this close in the polls.

But several other polls (taken in the last few days) show Coleman with a slight lead that's barely outside of the margin of error.

It is sad to think that approx 50% of the voters living in Minnesota are such fools to vote for Franken. The man is an antiAmerican idiot so what does this say about those willing to vote for him?

This in itself is a tremendous reason to never live, visit or take a job in Minnesota: Half the voting population is deranged enough to vote for Franken!

I’ve little idea of what to make of some of the stories; I’ve dined at restaurants (virtually the oldest Italian restaurant in that city and in East St. Paul) in St. Paul and saw Norm there when he was mayor, he seems like a good moral man. I don’t even need to see anti-Al material when I know who is best to vote for and has been even before the last election six years ago.

I used to think it was California that was the preeminent national embarrassment by electing people like Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi...then I realized Georgia elected Cynthia McKinney, and Vermont elected Bernie Sanders...and the list goes on. Still, if Minnesota elects Franken over the extremely decent, intelligent and effective Norm Coleman, it will be a permanent stain on that state to rival all of the aforementioned travesties.

Don't worry about it, the Star-Tribune's Minnesota poll is notorious for being off by 5-10% in favor of the Democrats in just about every statewide poll it conducts.

In 2004, the Minnesota Poll has Kerry winning the state by 8; he won by 3.

The only time they were close in recent memory was the Senate race from 2 years ago, when the last poll had Klobuchar winning by 21%, and she won by 20%. I suspect that's because that's the only recent election that the Democrats were dominant in, so there was no reason for them to slant the poll.
