Don't worry about it, the Star-Tribune's Minnesota poll is notorious for being off by 5-10% in favor of the Democrats in just about every statewide poll it conducts.

See this article from 6 years ago on the old RCP, before it became politically correct, for some details:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/Commentary/com-11_11_02_SJ.html

In 2004, the Minnesota Poll has Kerry winning the state by 8; he won by 3.

The only time they were close in recent memory was the Senate race from 2 years ago, when the last poll had Klobuchar winning by 21%, and she won by 20%. I suspect that's because that's the only recent election that the Democrats were dominant in, so there was no reason for them to slant the poll.

McCain/Palin have a lot of support in Minnesota. It’s close to being a battleground state I think and I think I heard that from one news source. We can hope. Places like Faribault, Northfield, Hibbing, Duluth, the Suburbs. Let’s hope! Don’t talk it too down, they might surprise you. It’s the way that DFL party is so entrenched in tradition from what I can see.
