Supremes asked to halt Tuesday's vote

The U.S. Supreme Court is being asked to help the nation avoid a constitutional crisis by halting Tuesday's election until Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama documents his eligibility to run for the top office in the nation.

Democratic attorney Philip Berg had filed a lawsuit alleging Obama is ineligible to be president because of possible birth in Kenya, but as WND reported, a federal judge dismissed the complaint claiming Berg lacks standing to bring the action.

Philip J. Berg The 34-page memorandum that accompanied the court order from Judge R. Barclay Surrick concluded ordinary citizens can't sue to ensure that a presidential candidate actually meets the constitutional requirements of the office.

Instead, Surrick said Congress could determine "that citizens, voters, or party members should police the Constitution's eligibility requirements for the Presidency," but that it would take new laws to grant individual citizens that ability.

"Until that time," Surrick says, "voters do not have standing to bring the sort of challenge that Plaintiff attempts to bring."

Type of litigation that gets one Rule 11 sanctions. NObama could have been born on Mars and it wouldn’t matter.

How can a member of the group that is a party to the contract NOT have standing?

We are only voting for electors on November 4th, not the President. The choices the electors have could potentially change before January 6th when the elector’s votes are certified.

Surrick is nuts — and the Supreme’s too, if they refuse Popular Sovereignty in this matter.

Do they not understand whom “We the People” are?

Maybe they should re-read the Delcaration of Independence and be warned!

Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

’ On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi’
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DON’T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Congress sets the date of elections. I don’t think the Court has the authority to change it.

I like even less the fact that we have a fraud running on a major party ticket. I agree 100%. I'd rather have no election than someone who 1)possibly not a citizen 2) morally bankrupt and 3) has terrorism ties.

I’m in favor of delaying the election until every secretary of state can certify that election fraud has been wrung out of their voter rolls, or that sufficient steps have been taken to ensure an election free of vote fraud. They wanna riot over that? Let ‘em.

The courts have already ruled that Berg doesn’t have standing, but there is a move underway to get some candidates for the Electoral College to be listed as plaintiffs. Being a listed candidate for Elector might give one standing. (Hey, it’s worth a try, right?)
