NRA endorses two Democratic candidates that I'm eligible to vote for. Voted for neither. One has no Republican opposition and will win walking away, the other is running for State Treasuser, so I frankly don't care what his positions are on firearms. And he's a cokehead.

that "American Hunters" group is nothing more than a Rat backed group trying to take members away from the NRA....the NRA btw support both Rats and Pubs and they certainly lean Pub, but if you check out their site, they support many rats....so no, they are not partisan....

All I know about Minnick is that he has millions apparently to spend on advertiseing and not once in his commercials does he admit that he is a Rat...someone should ask him if he supports the abomination and would he support ANY kind of gun control, fairness doctrine,etc....

Minnick is a liberal who casts his lot with AHSA (American Hunters and Shooters Association). Just check the "Issues->Gun Rights" link on the website (after noting the president is an Obama boot licker). They was "automatic .50 BMG sniper rifles" banned because they are the choice weapon of criminals, gangs and terrorists. No matter that these claims are not backed up with any evidence. They want the FBI to keep the NICS database...in violation of the law..for "research". They love the "Brady checks" and want ATF to have even more power.

It doesn't surprise me to see the liberal infested Boise area tipping the balance in favor of Minnick. I've done my part by making contributions to Sali's campaign.

Neither one owns enough firearms to be taken seriously locally. Both know what noises to make. Minnick intends to go to DC, support every half-baked Democrat idea except those, see them passed anyway, and come back shaking his head - "can't do anything about it, sorry." What is this guy talking about? I would think that with the weather in Idaho most people would want to garage their howitzers most of the year and everyone knows .50s go in the gun safe except when mounted up on the ring mount of the SUV.
