Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A leading African-American pastor says he can't support Barack Obama because the presidential candidate is out of the mainstream when it comes to abortion. Pastor Clenard Childress, says Obama is favors unlimited abortions and wants to overturn state laws to reduce abortions.
Childress, the senior pastor of New Calvary Baptist Deliverance Church in Montclair, New Jersey, says he no longer buys the "lip service" he gets from Democratic presidential candidates.
"The Democrat Party has for years given lip service to the African-American community. They have talked about prominence without fulfilling the promise," he says. "They patronize without empowering."
Most upsetting to Pastor Childress is the prominent link the Party and its new leader, Obama, have with abortion advocacy groups. Obama told Planned Parenthood in July 2007 that he wouldn't back down from doing everything he could to promote abortion.
"Worst of all, this unholy bond has done more to decimate and deplete our community than slavery and Jim Crow laws ever could have accomplished. This allegiance has destroyed millions of our children; children created but denied access to the American dream, children aborted," he says.
While Obama is hailed by other African-American leaders because of his race, Pastor Childress says Obama is a "new face, same tune" candidate who has no difference from previous white Democratic presidential candidates when it comes to abortion.
Childress says he is still taken aback by a comment Obama made during his prior campaign for the U.S. Senate, in which he employed abortion is not an important issue because few of his supporters asked him about it.
"As I travel around this state ... I dont get asked about abortion," Obama said at the time.
"As an elected official, should anyone have to ask you about abortion to make it your concern?" Childress says.
"We are deeply troubled, but not surprised at the Senators remarks," Childress said of the growing number of black Americans who will not vote for Obama. "One would only have to look at Obamas consistent support and advocacy for the .. abortion industry to understand. "
"I am horrified at this mans voting record. Anytime Planned Parenthood gives you a 100% rating, all Americans should cringe in fear because they are the leading abortion provider in the nation," Childress adds.
Childress says Obama's record of opposing the ban on partial-birth abortions and his repeated votes against an anti-infanticide bill in the Illinois legislature show the candidate is out of touch with Americans and black Americans in specific.
"His response to these questions is not indicative of the Black communitys beliefs, and certainly shows a low degree of conscience and moral fiber," Childress concludes.

Can you believe Planned Parenthood has Express Centers? Since when should health care be based on how fast you can be served?

It can't be any coincidence that we are on the edge of a disaster with radical socialists in charge of our govt. when we are embracing deviancy (homosexual marriage), aborting a million babies a year and find prayer to GOD so toxic it's not allowed at most public places.

To answer, Black America will NEVER WAKE UP, it doesn’t matter to them, the annoited one is their man PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Put the pastor in a McCain add

When? ... When black people decide to be human beings before sycophantic democrats, that’s when. But don’t hold your breath because since Johnson the great society has tied towing the democrat line to welfare. Following the Roe and Doe decisions, the democrat party has used abortion as a means to empower their political capital. Black people have been trianed to believe the alive unborn are not yet ‘complete humans’ ... which is a particularly obscene notion given the ‘partial citizen’ designation (2/3 vote) black people were given by the Democrats prior to the Civil War.

Pastor Childress says Obama is a "new face, same tune" candidate who has no difference from previous white Democratic presidential candidates when it comes to abortion. Actually, Pastor Childress, Obama is very different from 'same tune'; Barack Obama was more than willing to remove Constitutional rights from born alive children in order to protect abortionists murdering these children via induced labor and purposed neglect until these children struggle and suffocate to death, unattended, alone. Obama has gone from pro-abortion to ghoul status.

which is a particularly obscene notion given the partial citizen designation (2/3 vote) black people were given by the Democrats prior to the Civil War. Actually, they were only three-fifths of a human being back then and it would seem that the missing 40% was what gave them basic human rights.
Today, the three-fifths ratio seems to play out again when you consider that over 35% of black babies are murdered in the womb.
Hopefully Roe v. Wade will one day be viewed with the same level of disgust as is shown the Dred Scott Decision and Plessy v. Ferguson.

White Conservative Americans need to stand up for any African-American who is willing to stand up for GOD. They are out there. I know that they are in a definite minority, but when a Black man is willing to stand up against the liberal orthodoxy that Obama stands for, we have to be with Him. He is risking far more than we do in our defense of Conservatism and Christianity.
We need to elevate “true” black conservatives as much as we can. The MSM has ostracized them to the point of making the public believe they do not exist. I PRAISE the Lord that they exist. When we are called home, I believe that it will be multi-colored and we need to stand by such honorably men now more than ever.

So, when does this good man get attacked by the hate Mongols of the Marxist party? Stand strong, stand tall, proud minister of the Word, you have the best, greatest, most mighty defender, The Lord. God bless this man. A man with a brain, a man with conviction, to stand up to the Marxist machine.

Ah, three-fifths ... my old memory is not what it used to be. But I do concur on Dred Scott and Plessy v Ferguson. If Barack Obama has his way, not only will he repeal ALL legislation he deems ‘anti-choice’, he will appoint SCOTUS judges to institute his Marxist agenda and pack the federal benches with life appointment leftists in the mold of Billy Ayers without the criminal background discoveries. I mean, ACORN was founded by a Weather Underground member (Wade Rathke) and they are now recipients of hundreds of millions from the federal coffers!

I just want to let you know, I’m a Pastor who is an American Black man. I know several other Pastors of color who will not support BHO or the Democrats. We’ve watched our people vote the same way for years, and things only get worse in our community due to liberal policies.

Sir,
I stand with you. I want conservative Americans to stand behind you. We NEED you. The truth of our LORD is far more important than anything that public politics would expose.
As a teenager in the 70s, I was a liberal regarding racial politics. But, as I aged, I have seen that liberal policies (perhaps well intentioned) have truly undermined the black community. It hurts me. I would like Black Americans to know that there are conservative whites who truly want better for them, but that Government policies have proven time and time again to adversely impact the lives of those that depend upon them.
God Bless You, sir. We are out here who do want lives to be changed without the oppressive nature of a Government that cannot change the soul.
