It does, but this is not my project. I tried to make a suggestion along the lines of what the stated goals were. If this wasn’t helpful, then I apologize. Take care.
Since Jim Robinson appears to be one of these supportrers, are you trying to run him off of FR? I still donj't understand this thing, but if I figure it out maybe I will take part. I don't have ANY idea what it means to "twitter" either, and I thought I was something of an early adapter.
Sometimes you have to do more than preach to the choir....
The difference is that users can "digg" articles - in essence vote for them. Users can also comment on articles, and other users can "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" those comments.
Users can also "bury" articles. It doesn't change the number of votes for the article, but it does make it harder to get the article to become popular.
When articles become popular (a lot of diggs / a lot of comments / not a lot of buries) they go to the "Front Page" of digg. This is what many, many people use to get their news. People refresh the front page of Digg and check it a lot like people check Drudge - to see what's going on and what others find interesting. The goal is to get articles to the front page of digg and get the conservative message out there.
A number of us have been trying to push conservative articles to diggs front page for a long time now, but it is very hard because it is infested with libs.
If someone posts a digg link here, you click it and go to that article to vote / comment. You won't be exposed to the lib agenda articles under that scenario.
What is a Diggs page? I heard the term but don’t know what it’s about.
find later - post 14
Was tried and all the loud minority crucified John for it. wasnt a pretty sight.
This IS improving FR, by projecting our numbers/influence where all the non-FReepers are. Digg will never replace FR because it is populated by the entire political spectrum. The point is not to sit over there and argue with all the tards, it’s to use FReeperPower to Digg conservative articles to the top, and eventually, to do the same on other forums. Who wants to argue with a bunch of libs? Certainly not me! Certainly, not the vast majority of FReepers. That’s why we’re here!!!
What’s slashdot?
Improving FR is not up to us, but the Robinsons. You do know that they own the software, right? They do take suggestions, but we can’t change anything ourselvess.
An RSS feed is how a website is able to broadcast a content update. Once a posting/article has been added the RSS feed picks it up and pushes it out to the people who subscribe to it. If you type in the URL of the feed you can see all of the stuff that gets posted.
Well, it looks like you new-fangled digging whippersnappers have got something there.
Say, you know when I started on the internet we had to upload and download in the snow- and uphill both ways...
You and I are trapped by our..uh...never mind..Digger Phelps...
man we are not trapped that bad. LOL
Great.
Thanks.
Will try to comply on breaks from my class administrivia.
A number of us are already on Digg trying to bump up conservative articles and videos. We need more.
It's advantageous to all of us conservatives to try to actually convert people on the fence once in a while with good, strong conservative information. This is a way to do that.
Or we could just let the libs have it and put their information out to hundreds of thousands of swing voters a day unchallenged.
You mean there's other stuff on the internet besides FR?
Well, I'll be danged.
Who da thunk it?

Ping, check it out!
