Jeremiah Wright returns to the campaign via an ad that questions the Illinois senator's judgment.
The ad is brought to you by The National Republican Trust PAC that told reporters that it is putting $2.5 million behind this spot featuring Rev. Jeremiah Wright in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida

Why stop at Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. I know it is late in the game, but I would run this in Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri and Wisconsin.
I am stunned at how people can be so stupid to vote for this racist monster.
They are flocking to hateful monsters simply because they are of the same race/ethnicity as they are.
It's racism, and it's disgusting.
And lets all pray......Dear god, Please let the Philly's win the pennent today .....so that no one will be watching Obama's infomercial....Amen.
“Well, they cant cry racism on this one!”
I have to disagree, J117. The beauty of being a dem is that there doesn’t have to be any substance to their allegations. My favorite is their analogy that Gov. Palin’s choice to wear white blouses is racist.
We’re dealing with desperate, unstable, unscrupulous people who will do absolutely anything to ensure a victory for their socialist candidate.
God bless our country,
EODGUY
Maybe. But the economy is #1 concern right now, esp. 401(k)s.
Voters saw the debates, but the 3rd is what voters will most remember, and it dealt with economic themes such. McCain destroyed Obama. Couple with that the Joe the Plumber video and the recent 2001 audio, and we have what the undecided/independents already intuitively know about Obama: he will take from the earners and give to the non-earners.
McCain needs to hit Obama hard on Dems wanting to tax 401(k)s. His closing argument, as was his theme on the 3rd debate, should be about how he is a strong leader of accomplishments on economic issues, reassure people he can get the job done. Polls are already shifting towards McCAin when he uses this theme.
Obama has not sealed the deal. His ad on Wed. will turn people off, due to over-saturation of his ads and his empty message of "hope" and "change." We already know he will lie about is tax policies. This will reinforce that perception.
I agree. This ad needs a Mulligan!
GOOD! I Hope they push this in Pa. as well. It is where Mccain can make the close and win the election. It will fall on PA this year who is the winner and the loser.
Obama is nervous about Pa. in a big way. he should be. the numbers are closing.
I say CLING TO THEM GUNS AND RELIGION PEOPLE! Obama wants to take them both away ... unless your a closet Muslim of course.
EM - just made a donation to these guys with a stipulation to play this ad in Tidewater VA. Did this in 2004 with Swifties as $$$ is much better spent than with timid campaign operation. The VA North is lost and not worth any effort but this area is ripe for the pickings, even among African Americans here - they don’t like rads anymore than others do. So, if you want to see this run in VA, go to www.goptrust.com, make a donation and email them in the comments section to play it in Tidewater - God bless America
I think this is a great ad to ease the subject back into the national discussion. They can follow with “chickens coming home to roost” and Bill “riding dirty” tomorrow and then get set for the finale over the weekend:
Obama speaking the same words as Wright: “White man's greed runs a world in need” and other references from Wrights sermon: The Audacity of Hope. Interesting and familiar title isn't it?? Where have I seen it before.
All I am saying is that we can take steps rather than dumping all of his racist hatred on the undecideds at once.
I got so long-winded, I forgot my sports reference :)
Work the body and then go for the knock out blow by weekend.
Also, to see ad and to donate - again, it’s www.goptrust.com
Since we are keeping with sports analogies and cliches, I guess there are more than one way to skin a cat!
Put in the broader perspective of your strategy, I also agree. It is, after all, the undecideds that we are after. Putting them in overload by dumping too much information may be detrimental. Not that I am a psychologist or anything. (But I have had some marketing experience)
“””I am stunned at how people can be so stupid to vote for this racist monster.””””
Remember that you are talking about people who pattern their lives around what they see on the MTV Music Awards and VH1 reality shows.
For most, but not for all. Most people are capable of considering more than one issue in making up their minds. Also please note that the McCain campaign IS spending all of its effort on economic issues, this ad is being run by an independent organization, which it is illegal for McCain to have any contact with.
Kinda late. Mailed in my ballot last week, with lots of my neighbors.
Well then it must be true! (sarc)
Of course this Wright info will be a part of the puzzle, factor in the overall portrait of Obama when voters go to the polls. But it won't make much of a raw impact at this late date, IMO. Last week proved that for most, the economy will be the deciding factor. Obama is bad on that. Very bad. And Joe the Plumber really hurt Obama, McCain capitalized. Voters noticed. I completely agree with you on your ads comment! :)
