I’m guessing that since it’s NPR, you’ll never hear from them again. But at least you reached ONE person with reason and logic. Let’s just see if it takes hold.
they will edit your words to make it sound like not only are you an Obama supporter but that the Constitution is unfair and Obama will fix it!
You didn’t tow the line... she won’t use it.
I guarantee the dumb bitch will re-write your opinion to suit her and BO’s Marxist opinion. I have ZERO tolerance or hope for todays journalist. I pray that I’m wrong...for once.
THAT is a great quote! I hope to use it!
Good thoughts! Not to diminish your nice work, but it would have been best not to give her fodder about not having the best choices. Gives her an out for her focus like you speculated she’d take.
I agree wholeheartedly with most everything you said, FWIW.
It still IS that the Government guarantees to every State in the union a Republican form of government....etc.
This should be taught in every school from a very early age.
Good job, you handled it well
Represent!
I want to be interviewed but I’m going to tell them that I am a life long Dem but will vote for McCain.
I am voting because the Dem party has gone too far to the left, they never mention the working class and that obama is a socialist.
The Dem party has left me and seems to be a party of the elite and wealthy
love to see their faces
You did not praise Obama the Messiah. Your perspective will disappear down the memory hole.
Such terms as “Constitution” will not be permitted under the new regime, citizen.
When she asked about the political situation, I asked her from what perspective we should judge matters? I asked her if she knew the only guarantee in our Constitution....she had no idea. My focus went to the constitution. How it gave room to everybody. I covered Proposition 8, for people to do what you want to do in private, just don't call it marriage; that's for a man and a woman. That the USSC should have left the abortion issue to the States so the religious nutcases (yes, I did use that term) could all go to one state and leave the rest of us alone. That some states would be moderate, some would be extreme, but we would choose where to live. When she asked about the financial crisis I was quick to point out that we were warned of this problem years ago. Go back through congressional hearings, find who said things were in trouble and who said they were ok. Lay the blame and the punishment on those who mismanaged the system. Finally, toward the end, she asked me what the only guarantee in the Constitution was. It still IS that the Government guarantees to every State in the union a Republican form of government....etc. I did say that many of us are not happy with our choices in this election.
First off, congrats on being able to maintain the conversation. They can be frustrating to talk to, particularly about facts. Please repost when you hear your viewpoints contorted. Not wishing it on you at all but...
LOL! I sounds like the ‘elite NPR one’ approached ‘one of the masses’ and thought she would get the usual uninformed answers to her questions. HeeHee! She found you!
Probably not what she expected, and I hope she had her eyes — and mind —opened a bit.
Choosing life over killing an unborn child is not being a nutcase. If anybody is a nutcase----IT'S YOU!
Thanks for talking to NPR and thanks for sharing your story. I will be very interested to hear how this turns out. I pray that you were not used.
I agree Mostly, however one honest question: What makes you think Pro-Lifers are “religious nutcases”??..
Good job rattling the cage, Sir!
Sorry, but that interview will not wind up on Fresh Air!
