Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation – and even several lawsuits – it has been learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.

If Obama’s momma was Dunham and it is accepted that she lived in the US either 10 years before his birth or 5 years before his birth after her aged 14 and that he was born in Hawaii where the GOP governor herself just sealed his Hawaii birth certificate then citizenship is no issue...period.

If he can’t or won’t provide proof that he is a natural born American citizen, then he is not eligible to serve in the office he seeks. If he is elected he is still ineligible, and frankly, I will not recognize him as president.

I’m confused. I don’t understand the uproar over Obama’s birth certificate. What does it matter WHERE he was born, if his mother is a U.S. citizen, that would make him a U.S. citizen, also. Yes? So, what is the problem? My niece was born in Germany when her dad was stationed over there, and SHE’S a U.S. citizen. So, why the uproar over Obama. And, I’m NOT trying to defend him, Heaven forbid. My guy is McCain. I’m just confused - is there really an issue here?
Stanley Ann Dunham was only 18 when Zerobama was born, so the “5 years after age 14” requirement was NOT met.

I forgot that Hawaii wasn’t a State until 1959. How dows that work Hawaii if someone lived there prior to 1959? Does being in that territory prior to 1959 count?
Thanks for the comments, Hiflier. I forgot to say that we need to pass a law that candidates for the presidency, vice presidency and senate also need to pass FBI security clearance. There's a gap here that needs closing!
How did he get a U.S. Passport? How did travel to Pak when it was a no go zone? If he used an Indonesian pport, is he still an Indonesian? Is it a felony to use fake documents to secure U.S. Pports? Just wondering.....
