Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal, and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.

I found the fact that when Berg tried to investigate in Kenya, the government said that all documents related to Obama were sealed till after the U.S. election. What documents could Kenya possibly have that would have to be sealed? Who thought to seal them? Who requested they be sealed? Obama has connections there.

I’m going to guess that she is aware of the issues with the certificate, and if she is willing to have it sealed without questioning Obama’s legitimacy as a candidate, then this might have more to do with “who’s your daddy” as opposed to where he was born?
If he belongs to Marshall and was born in Hawaii, he probably is not barred from running (although some freepers think his adoption should throw a wrench into his candidacy)

No. The state department accepts a Letter Of No Record if the Birth Certificate is not available.

Yes, you need a birth certificate for all of these and that is why this issue is bogus. Obama attended a private elementary school as well as numerous other US institutions. This issue is really not about whether Obama is a natural born citizen, but whether his mother was married when he was born. If you have read DREAMS OF MY FATHER, you’ll see that the details surrounding their “marriage” are murky. The reason is because both families - the American and Kenyan - were opposed to it.
She is sealing the BC for a good reason. She doesn’t want any tampering with it. The time will come that the darn thing must be shown to the world. Governor Lingle understands full well what is at stake here. Be glad she has it locked up.
