Its good to see average Americans take a stand for what's right. We don't need Corporate America to tell us timeless values mean nothing compared to the almighty dollar. We're voting not just with our wallets but with our sense of right and wrong. Hallmark will learn how we feel about their pandering to the Gay Crowd... the hard way!

It just seems strange to me to observe businesses risk offending 97 to 98% of the public,
just to get the 2 to 3% of the public homosexuals represent.
Homosexuality is not a taboo that mainstream America is about to cave on. In fact,
folks are getting very angry about the activism they are having foisted off on them.
Hallmark, back the hell off.
Out of the mist they come, the Final 300...
We were a little over $3,000.00 from this quarter's
FReepathon goal this morning. It would only take
300 of us to donate $10.00 to put us over the top.
Would some of you like to be a part of the Final 300?
Let's end this FReepathon today. (Only 37 more needed)
Click the graphic to donate or visit the Final 300 thread.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Hallmark to buy a few birthday cards for my lovely. I picked out 3 which put the total at about $16. As I checked out, I asked the cashier where the gay cards were. Before she rang me up, she pointed to a portion of the store. I grunted "Hhrumph" and left the cards on the counter and exited the store.
Before you FReepers go nuts, let me say I'm old enough to "Hhrumph".

My idea for a new card...
“Heard you’re going to Hawaii on your honeymoon!”
“Hope it’s a real bummer!”

I’d join the boycott, but I don’t think I’ve bought a Hallmark card in 20 or 30 years. Much too expensive for what you get. Exploitation.

I wish I could boycott Hallmark for producing homosexual cards. However I have not bought “greeting cards” for many years now. $4 $6 per card and more. I can make my own cards on my computer for less then a dollar. The local Christian Bookstore sells a small selection of nice cards for 99 cents.
In the economy we have its hard to understand how a “greeting card industry can even exsist

HALLMARK also owns :
In addition to the Hallmark flagship, the company also markets cards under the Ambassador and Expressions from Hallmark brand names. The company’s products are sold in Hallmark retail outlets, through mass merchandise stores, and via the hallmark.com web site.
Over the years, Hallmark has branched out into other products and services that use creativity and emotion to help people connect, including stationery, party goods, gift wrap, photo albums, cut flower arrangements, home decor, collectibles, books, and Christmas ornaments.
In the late 1990s, the company acquired several specialized greeting card companies that operate as wholly owned subsidiaries, including DaySpring Cards, Inc., the leader in Christian personal expression products; InterArt Holding Corporation, maker of high-quality greeting cards and related products including the Mary Engelbreit and Holly Pond Hill lines; and William Arthur, Inc., which offers customized holiday cards, wedding invitations, fine stationery, and other high-end products.
Hallmark’s Binney & Smith Inc. subsidiary specializes in personal skill development products, including Crayola crayons, Magic Markers, modeling material, creativity software, model kits, and art supplies for professionals and students.
Hallmark also creates family-oriented television programming through its Hallmark Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary. Hallmark Entertainment holds a controlling majority stake in Crown Media Holdings, Inc., operator and distributor of two cable television channels: the Hallmark Channel and the Kermit Channel.
Yet another wholly owned subsidiary is The Picture People, operator of more than 250 mall-based portrait studios in 26 states.
