Playing devil's advocate again, my black eyes always had more coloring to them (especially where the bridge of my glasses meet my nose), but we all bruise different so it's a non-issue.

As far as her blog postings, here's her twitter which I guess is like a blog. There were others on Malkin's article in one of the links there (there are a lot of links to that article). The whole College Republican thing is here.

I doubt that a campaign worker would fit a self mutillation/attention seeker stereotype.

Having volunteered for a lot of campaigns, I can safely say you would be amazed at how many people join up for the attention they think they'll get. I never had a desire to get involved in politics, but many of the volunteers and campaign workers I met truly believed that they would get noticed by some party official and it would translate into a job or they would end up with contacts that would help them out somewhere down the road. Some actually did manage to leverage it into something more, but many more didn't. In fact, it probably turned off quite a few people to politics.

BTW, there is a story out stating that Russian Jews (the ones newly arrived in the US since about 1980) will vote overwhelmingly for McCain. One of the reasons given by some voters is that is a fear of increased violence by blacks against them should Obama win. Of course they also know from bitter experience what communism means, more generally.

Police planned to administer a polygraph test to Ashley Todd, 20, because her statements about the attack conflict with evidence from the Citizens Bank ATM where she claims the incident occurred, police said.

A polygraph test is not admissible in court, but interesting nonetheless.

Well well, it seems those of us who were skeptical are not alone. The police are too. THIS is why some of us said it was folly to suggest McCain run to the press and blame this on O. I don’t care what party a woman is (although who knows where this womans allegiances really are) some of them are capable of fabricating elaborate stories of victimhood for attention. Whether this one did or not, I don’t know yet, I just know I’m not convinced she didn’t and neither are the police.

That is the kind of order that can encourage violence. I tried to explain it to a local talk show host but was told, the person shouting, “killem,” was worse than Obama telling his volunteers to “get in their faces,” all in the interest of “fairness” to both sides.

Most strong arm guys don't take the time to carve anything... they might cut off a nose or ear, but actually put a letter on someone's face.
