(CNSNews.com) – Imagine if Sen. Barack Obama loses the presidential election by one vote, and imagine if you were the person who meant to vote for him but never made it to the polls.
Pretend it just happened. That’s the thrust of a new video from a liberal, pro-Obama group.
As polls show the presidential race tightening in swing states such as Pennsylvania and Florida, MoveOn.org is pressing a get-out-the-vote message with a “funny, scary video” showing people “what it might look like if we lose the election by a single vote.”
The video includes the name of the email recipient, making it look like Susan Jones (in my case) was the non-voter who cost Obama the election.
“U.S. elections are always close, but the nation was shocked Tuesday night to see John McCain defeat Barack Obama by a single vote,” intones a mock anchorman in the MoveOn.org video.
“For many, shock soon turned to outrage as The New York Times revealed the identity of the particular non-voter responsible for Obama’s loss,” the “anchorman” says, as the non-voter’s name appears in font on the “TV screen.”
“In just a few short days, this private citizen has become a national pariah,” the anchorman says. The video explains that police take the non-voter into protective custody, it shows Obama supporters letting loose with bleeped invective, and it includes soundbites from President Bush and Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly (favorite targets of the left) thanking the non-voter for being patriotic.

It's a scare tactic that gets used on "undecided" voters. This is the flip side of the "no justice, no peace" rant which is just a veiled threat to riot if the left does not get it's way. They are trying to make the "undecideds" worry that they will cause riots and violence if they don't vote for Barry.
What this tells me is that their internal polling says there are a whole lot of fence sitters.
Imagine if on Nov. 5 McCain/Palin won by just 3,000,000 votes and you were the one responsible for sending in the absentee balots for 3,000,000 fraudulantly registered Acorn voters, but you didn’t finish playing X-box in time to get to the post office. How bad would that make you feel?
Imagine if Obama wins by one vote.

Don't underestimate the backlash. I saw this in 1993 and I can see it happening again if Obammy gets elected.
Anyway, I just put some spare change into SWHC @ $1.91 a share. It's in the bargain basement right now, but it was at $25 during Q3 last year, and it's decline has pretty much followed the market. So it's a good company, and after all this economic chaos sorts itself out, it should go up nicely again.
But at these prices, an anti-Obama bounce could make that happen sooner. Seems like a reasonable hedge bet.

No problem, I didn't buy it for the afternoon... and I didn't "spend the rent money" on it. If it goes down, I can wait for it to come back. And if it comes back anywhere near where it was last year, I'll get my money back by > 1300 %.

I like your imaginings! I'm praying for Obama's crushing defeat, in fact I'm beginning a Novena on Sunday, the 26th, so that the last day is Monday, the 3rd, just in time for Election Day!
But I'm sure we'll hear a lot about him over the next four years. He'll start running for 2012 on Nov. 5th 2008, as will Her Heinous.
Now that IS truly frightening!

Blackmail is illegal, but trying to get the electors to change their vote via intellectual discourse is not.......
Not trying to rub anything in, but that Smith and Wesson stock I bought @ 1.91 twelve days ago is up 49% since then... closed @ 2.85 today.
That's still pretty cheap, I think there's still a good bargain there, if you want to get in on it. If there are post-election riots like a lot of big city police are predicting, I expect it to take off like a rocket.
Even if not, if Obama wins, gun sales will go up. It's already happening.
