My own personal paranoid conspiracy theory

Posted on 10/22/2008 12:49:41 PM PDT by mimi from mi

I notice today that the DOW is tanking, down more than 500 points. Co-incidentally three of six polls show McCain gaining. Could someone like a George Soros or multi-billionaire arab be manipulating the stock market? Whatever is bad for America (losing DOW) seems to be good for Obama (higher poll numbers). With the poor DOW showing today, I suspect Obama's numbers will be much higher tomorrow. Could someone more computer literate than I bring up the last few weeks of both polling and the stock market for comparison? If there is no coralation at all, then I guess i'm just being paranoid.

I was wondering if Soro’s was up to his old tricks weeks ago.. Today the trading VOLUME was comparatively LOW.. Maybe just a few heavy hitters selling on the bad economic news out of Europe especially England.

No.
Because if someone tried to move the market down, others would snap up the bargains and drive it back up again.

The problems with the market are more than any one person or even a large group of people could cause.

Or fix, for that matter.

You know, I just checked, down 500, I think you’re right. This is just too coincidental, like Clinton launching missles everyday when key testimony was about to get underway ...

Makes sense.

“just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean you aren’t following someone.”

Seriously, I do think Soros could damage our economy. Just look what Chuck Schumer did to IndyMac. But nothing will be done about it. “Crony Capitalism” is today’s term. The Government and their friends are picking the winners and losers. The sure death for individual liberty and economic freedom.

I remember 1992, also. Remember the ‘worst economy since the Great Depression’? Happens everytime. But this time they’re serious, deadly serious. Just took longer than they thought to destroy ‘capitalism’. Only thing that will stop them is the truth and reality. The near future isn’t going to be pretty. Weimar Republic, anyone?

“Obama wants to de-arm our missile defense system basically and he plans to make it almost impossible to get guns and ammunition, and even hunting ammunition.”

I'm sure Obama and a Democratic Congress will try to do just that but I can't imagine that they will be successful. If they are, there will be a lot of cold, dead hands out there.

Recently Mike Huckabee said it was ecomonic terrorism. He said that there was a flurry of activity in the last minutes of trading coming from the middle east.

Haven’t heard anything more about this theory. Seems it could be plausible to me.

I’d say this has all been in the works for years.

The odd thing is that the Clinton wing of the Dem party has allowed it without dropping a metaphorical bomb. I think Obama was *chosen* as a sort of blank slate (but not as blank as his handlers thought) as well as his lack of ability and brains to NOT do whatever his backers say. And that is the scary part.

I have the same observation....appears to me that, money is voting with their feet...the higher the OHB polls report, the lower the market...

I think it’s just extremely bad luck. The market is likely to bottom on election day, so remember to vote and buy.

My take is that even though the voters were scared to death when all this first hit, now that its been up and down this last few weeks and the world really has not ended, many are now looking at all this as “just the way it works and probably won’t result in much effect on me”.

“Could someone like a George Soros or multi-billionaire arab be manipulating the stock market?”

No.

A multi-billionaire can barely manipulate the stock price of one large stock, let alone a market of thousands of stocks.

It’s seems too terribly manufactured to be coincidental to me. George Soros, the man who broke the Bank of England? See: http://www.questionsquestions.net/docs04/engdahl-soros.html

Date - 2000: Networks Declare Al Gore PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES while people are still voting in Florida and other states, many Republicans in their cars turn around and drive home

My insomnia has gotten worse since BHO has risen in the polls-and I was remembering this BS just this AM, when I should have been sleeping. I really would like to personally kick in the ass every Florida voter who did this. Yes, I am serious : Are FL ballots different from those in my state (Missouri)? I understand that the presidential vote is the most exciting-but was there NO other reason, however dull, to vote? Was there no proposition , no congressman, no local or state race at all to justify going to the polls anyway?

I would really like to kick these people in the ass-and that goes triple for any media-driven sheep that does this in this race, anywhere, if the exit polls are announced-go vote anyway. Vote for a senator, or the local sheriff, a proposition-SOMETHING has to be worth voting on, even if your state is called for the Obamination (and use the memory of this race and go vote for McPalin anyway! Just in case....)

You may be paranoid, but you are probably right.

Even paranoids have enemies!

I wish someone would ask this question? Greta might.

Not without a dead blonde, a white Bronco, or an OJ reference.
