"I am very excited about the McCain-Palin ticket, simply because they support the values that mean the most to me," Ms. King said. "It is a plus to me that Sarah Palin is a woman because I've been elected to office as a wife and mother. I've been appointed to office as a woman and at the time I was a mother and became a grandmother."
Ms. King said her experience taught her she could both be a good mother and still serve the public. This is something she has in common with Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, McCain's running mate.
However, the most important reason she is backing the McCain-Palin ticket is its commitment to the pro-life cause.
There are a lot of Obama supporters at my kids’ Christian schools here in California. My kids think they are for Obama because of environmental issues and the war in Iraq.
It’s better then when they were in public school where 99% of the kids were coming from democrat families.
Amen, Sis!
Pure heroism given the situation.
This is an extremely brave woman. Daniel entering the Lion’s Den was hardly more brave than her.
Uncle Martin would be proud.
She’s got guts like her Uncle.
I wonder if there might not be a little of that...
God bless Alveda King and those adorable little things she hopes to protect.

Thanks for sharing this! I’m passing this around.

I'm familiar with the phenomenon. My cousin who claims to be an Evangelical Christian is a bambi supporter. When I asked him how he could vote for someone who will kill the most defenseless and innocent he wouldn't answer.
I ask every Christian I encounter if they believe Jesus would want us to support someone who defends infanticide. I don't think a Christian will do that.
On so many levels, I don’t get it.
Before the Jeremiah Wright scandal broke, I had gone to his church’s website and I was shocked.
I don’t see how any good Christian can support anyone who goes to that church. It is not a Christian church. It is something else.
I also see a lot of hero worship with Obama, and he encourages it.
On so many different levels, I don’t see how a good Christian can support him.
"The content of their character."
Makes a good T-shirt:
Cheers!
Goosebumps. Thank you Alveda King!
