The Politico is reporting that Sen. Barack Obama told a crowd in Tampa Florida that he was “showing some love for the Rays,” as several members of which joined him onstage.
Politico says the only problem with that is that earlier this month Obama declared his love for the Philadelphia Phillies.

There are a bunch of us here in Ray’s country that are ticked the politics has been injected into a decent baseball story. By that I mean some of the Rays introducing “the next president of the United States” today at the socialist rally in Tampa. The Phillies have gained some more fans.
