Under Ohio's constitution and laws, there are two ways to remove a statewide elected official: impeachment by the legislature, or through a complaint signed by at least 603,413 qualified electors that is filed and tried in court.
The constitution says an officeholder can be impeached "for any misdemeanor in office," but that doesn't necessarily refer to a crime, said Steven F. Huefner, an associate law professor at Ohio State University, and Steven H. Steinglass, a law professor and dean emeritus at Cleveland State University. Rather, "misdemeanor" in this context refers more generically to any misdeed, and that ultimately is defined by the General Assembly, they said.

Wish I was an Ohioan for a day so I could sign!
While we’re at it, we need a referendum to tighten the voter laws in Ohio. NO SAME DAY REGISTRATION AND VOTING!
This may be so. But this will have to wait. Impeaching Brunner can be done in the next two weeks if folks decide to make it happen.
Great idea. Letter written. Who else is a good contact?
Call Bill Cunningham’s show.
Good idea.. but who can write complaint and get this moving.. send me notes by freep mail if you want to recommend privately.
I don't think he is on during the weekend. But, once the ball gets rolling. Cunningham is a natural I agree.
If you use Brunner’s math, you would only need to have 400,000 valid signatures...the other 200,000 could be signed via the Acorn method of signature gathering...lol
It would be a brilliant piece of irony if they tried to say that the signatures were not valid.
What about John Kasich? He is making a push for Gov next chance, so he may not want to take an active role. Anybod know how to contact him?
Mickey Mouse, 7 Dwarfs, Pinochio. Heck, that wouln’t take long at all!
Has this been substantiated?
I would think this would be easy. Especially right before an election.

Heck all of these charges are documented in various papers and are being shared by Ohio Republican party already.
If it goes through the legislature, doesn’t there have to be a trial after there is an impeachment?
btt
You’ve got to get it out on the Ohio local talk radio stations because callers who are calling in there are furious...call in during open call times. Don’t rely on the them to do the work for us. Make sure you say right up front people need to get a pen & paper, and then get the contact info read. But be careful - if they are in the tank for 0bama you get cut off pretty quickly and if they screen calls, you may get put on right before a break where “we’ve only got a minute, Bob”. And remember that many listening to talk radio are older and don’t use computers so sometimes rattling off websites isn’t the way to go.
Let’s roll! Hannity, Rush, Mark Levin, Mike Church, Wilkow
“It would be a brilliant piece of irony if they tried to say that the signatures were not valid.”
Count on it. They will go through every signature to try to get as many as they can removed. It’s imperative that every signature meets requirements - and make the goal a million.
This is how they work - 0bama did it in Chicago:

To be fair, I called Brunner’s office and I did get a live rep who listened. When I was finished, she said she would pass along the comments. I asked how that could be since she asked no questions or identifying information. I could have been anyone, from anywhere. Had they treated this registered voter with a little respect and taken my information thereby giving me some confidence that my comments would indeed be passed along, I wouldn’t be so hissed off today.
Go for it, Ohio. The Ohio GOP needs to get on this ASAP. Brunner is is gross violation of her office and a danger to a democracy. This is like putting Al Capone as head of criminal justice and she is tyrannical and this is too serious to ignore.
The problem with getting the requisite 603,413 signatures is that they all have to be legal and verifiable. Given the penetration of ACORN into the whole system, this is going to be just about impossible. The 603,413 needed will probably need to be double that to account for the fraudulent signatures that ACORN and friends will inject just to cloud the issue.
