LUCKNOW, India (AP) -- A woman chopped the head off a man who allegedly tried to attack her and then paraded the head through a market in northern India, police said Friday.
Police arrested the woman late Thursday after receiving calls from frightened witnesses who reported a blood-soaked woman holding a severed head was walking through the village, said police officer Ram Bharose.
The woman, 35, told police she had gone to a nearby forest to cut grass for fodder for her cattle when a man attacked her from behind.

I’m not an expert on either religion, but it just seems like Muslims enjoy lopping heads off so that would have been my guess. Never thought deeply enough to get into the subservient nature of Muslim women, so I’d guess you’re probably right.

Could have happened to anyone doing farm work, collecting fodder to get ahead.

This ‘chopping’ wasn’t for enjoyment, it was for self defense. Also, if I may refer you to the image in 22 and let you decide if it looks like women from this part of India are Muslim. :->

Ive often wondered about that. Could you keep a head alive without a body using a super-dialysis machine?
Not only is it possible to stay alive, you can even run for President of Earth. And once you're swept into office, you can sell our children's organs to zoos for meat and go into people's houses at night and wreck up the place.

Ya know based on what I hear about the treatment of women in India (Acid disfigurations, etc), I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing.

Not so fast! This woman only got the head. Lorena got the head and the shaft! Not so fast! Lorena threw hers away. This lady marched through the streets with it in her hand.

Any time a woman gets a jump on a man for any reason and in any circumstances, Glenn Sacks cries about the injustice.
Unless he's too busy rooting for Mumia Abu-Jamal at that particular moment.

Cheering for her a little inside, but still speechless. ;)Making women the world over whose husband ran off with the secretary wish they had been cutting grasses at the time.

The widow was concerned that her husband’s toupee remain in place for his open casket ceremony.
“Everyone loved John but did not know that he wore a hair-piece. They are grieving and will probably want to touch him. Can you make sure it stays in place?”
“That won’t be a problem, ma’am.” he replied.
After the service she approached him, “Thank you so much—it didn’t move an inch!”
“Yes, it’s really amazing what we can do here with a few carpet tacks.”

Ya know based on what I hear about the treatment of women in India (Acid disfigurations, etc), I dont think this is necessarily a bad thing.I have to agree somewhat, although one crime doesn't necessarily justify committing another crime in retaliation.
Until relatively recent times the wives of deceased Hindu men in India were often tied down on top of their husbands' caskets and burned alive when the husband's body was cremated. The Brits tried to stop that inhumanly cruel practice during their colonization of India, but IIRC they were not very successful.

If I were to write a book of rules for men regarding women, the first rule would be never approach a woman from any direction while she is wielding a sharp instrument.
