NEW YORK – John McCain hung his final presidential debate performance on an Ohio plumber who campaign aides never vetted.
A day after making Joseph Wurzelbacher famous, referencing him in the debate almost two dozen times as someone who would pay higher taxes under Barack Obama, McCain learned the fine print Thursday on the plumber’s not-so-tidy personal story: He owes back taxes. He is not a licensed plumber. And it turns out that Wurzelbacher makes less than $250,000 a year, which means he would receive a tax cut if Obama were elected president.
McCain likes to say that he isn’t George W. Bush – and in this case of bungled public relations, it is clear he is not. The famously-disciplined Bush campaign operation would likely have found the perfect anonymous citizen to illustrate a policy proposal, rather than spontaneously wrap itself around an unknown entity with so many asterisks.

It's also the result of decades of an educational system based on seething resentment and a sense of entitlement. People like Joe, who want to achieve something and not be just one of the pack, violate all that the left has tried to inculcate in the American mind since the 1960s. And now the left is whipping up this resentment so that Joe is regarded as virtually symbolic of evil, the worst evil of all: individualism.
I think Joe was incredibly brave to have spoken out in the first place, because he must have known that Obama's media lackeys were going to go after him. And individual courage is another affront to Obama's Newthink.
The Friends just had on two “Joe the plumbers” who said that it’s not necessary to have a license when you work for someone else...and they, too, were very much against Barry’s spreading the wealth.
Under I Obama, owing back taxes is the highest crime.

Joe is a goldmine because of what Obama said, not because of anything about Joe.

I don’t know what Joe W’s religious inclinations are, but he is truly being used by God.
One man, playing in the yard with his son, approached by 0bama, asks one question that turns the campaign around.
Then we find out in a press conference that this “random” man happens to be able to voice conservative ideology much better than McCain ever could.
