IMO, Gallop is jobbing us with these polls. They realize that if they play Obama up now, he has only one way to go before the election, down. You just watch how they craft this.

They’ll have McCain gaining ground in the next week, with Obama going away after that.

On election day, you can bet that Obama will have been gaining every day the week before.

This is so transparent. It’s the big MO, and Gallop is going ot make sure Obama will be shown in just the right light before the election.

IMO, the public hasn’t changed their mind much at all in recent days. They know who they want.

I personally can’t believe much of anyone truly doesn’t know who they are going to vote for by this point.

Obama has a history of being a poor closer.

"History"? Other than the 'Rat primary season, this is the first competitive election in which he has ever participated!

CAN THEY IGNORE A MILLION EMAILS?

They'd have to. They can't even open that many, much less read them.

Just saying....

Even with rampant voter fraud on the part of Democrats, like in 2000, and like what they are doing now, they can’t win with the polls showing a 2 point spread. If McCain can get Sarah out front and center, he can win.

This is Gallup’s 3-day rolling average. According to Fox, which like everybody else, is reporting the wider 6% overall registered voter number, it included mainly PRE-debate calls.

Maybe all the “pundits” including the ones on Fox last night didn’t see what the actual voters saw.

1) Joe the Plumber is a mainstream working American
2) Senator Government slip was priceless
3) His economic “spread the wealth” plan got shredded
4) His Bill Ayers answer was lame - McCain said Hillary asked the same questions he was asking.
5) Obama fumbled the education question on Vouchers
6) McCain had him on his heels all night - he was constantly responding to legitimate attacks.

All the “pundits” saw was “boy, is the man-child smooth”

I heard a report today that Obama and the MSM are going after Joe the Plumber. He had to tell them why he doesn’t have a plumbing license, “I don’t need one because I work for someone who does.”

I think McCain has three things going for him down the to the wire:

1. The election being a vote on Obama and those he has not convinced by election day are likely to go McCain.

2. The public like of split government. It does not look like the GOP is about to take back over the House and Senate and thus if one is undecided split government is the safe choice.

3. Gov. Palin shoring up the GOP base.

I personally can't believe much of anyone truly doesn't know who they are going to vot for at this point.

There are still some undecideds, believe it or not, plus people supporting third party candidates.

One of the things last night's debate could have done for McCain is to swing some possible Bob Barr (Libertarian) voters to McCain, especially in the battleground western states. Could be decisive there if things are very close.

Its really stunning. With everything Obama has got going for him, including a mediocre Republican opponent, he should be up by +10.

But the Democrats have a mediocre candidate, too.

A scary one.

Oh, I imagine they’ll try, and depending on who signs their paychecks, may succeed.

RE: “He didn’t look mediocre in last night’s debate. Hopefully, despite the dumb MSM comments after, the debate could be a real game-changer.”

***********

AGREE! McCain was strong last night, not the slightest bit mediocre! I watched the debate, then turned OFF the TV before I could hear any garbage spewed by the MSM. Believe me, I was convinced McCain not only won the debate, he kicked the Zero’s skinny a**!
