It’s because conservatives, which Palin represents, seriously embarrass the beltway elitists on Faux News. They are so much more “country club” than us.

Palin is the ONLY one with EXECUTIVE experience out of all of them...Charlie is an ELITIST tool of the left.
I really think it has nothing to do with left or right...it has to do with the visceral feeling that "normal" Americans are ignorant drones who are not worthy to form opinion or have positions of power.
I suspect this feeling runs deep amongst the talking heads, pundits, and politicians regardless of alleged political persuasion. Palin is not "one of us".
To: KansasGirl
Krauthammer has been ticked at McCain ever since he chose Sarah Palin as his VP. I agree!
On the day McCain was rumored to have picked Sarah as his running mate, Krauthammer was whining that he hoped it wasn't true. He wanted McCain to pick a faceless nobody like Pawlenty, someone that wouldn't "overshadow" McCain LOL!!
These commentators are intelligent, but they are nowhere near as smart as they think they are.

You know, one of my Cub Scouts insists on talking about politics (I try to change the subject) and he once said Obama should be President because he’s so cool.
I looked over my sunglasses at him and said, “Dude, there is NOTHING in this world cooler than a fighter pilot. Get a grip.”

Luntz needs to go hide under a rock. He’s LYING. McCain just won Fox’s test voting by a big margin.

Of all people Didi Myers said this was not one of Oboredom’s stronger performances and McCain’s best performance. The other pundiot said McCain won.
I think FOX is being cowered by the Repub charge to the point of being dishonest. They believe the results are inevitable since they live in the echo chamber. McCain is actually in a better position than Reagan right now and this was a Reaganesque drubbing.
Pray for W, McCain and Our Troops

Damn you John McCain. You accepted the nomination as our candidate and you ran a lame ass campaign and obviously did not bother to prepare for debates. You probably though since they made sure you got the nomination your mainstream media buddies back in the Straight Talk Express days when they followed you around and showed you all the affection you could handle because you were being a pain in the republican administrations neck. We all knew what was going on but obviously your ego preventing you from seeing and accepting the truth. Now the entire Republican Party has to pay for your ego trip. So I say again, Damn you John McCain for losing this election for us. get a grip, boy. what debate did you just watch?

The thing is, Krauthammer only started to do this crap when Palin came aboard.Sarah Palin is an evangelical Christian, and most Jewish people in the U.S. have a visceral reaction to evangelical Christians.
I think Krauthammer is a brilliant man, but after witnessing his visceral reaction to the film, The Passion of the Christ, I can't help but wonder if he has once again allowed his emotions to cloud his judgment?

OMG what is wrong with Fox News. I feel like I have just got stabbed in the back
There was an article not too long ago about a secret meeting between Obama (Obama himself) and Roger Ailes where Obama went off on Ailes about Fox's "negative" coverage of him. Ailes promised to be fair, but not to be in the tank like the other networks.
I'd guess that there was a *bit* more to that conversation than just that, and Ailes came away with the understanding that if FOX didn't back off and Obama still won there would be retaliation. Like yanking White House press creds.
I also think that there's a HUGE echo chamber out there in the MSM, and the FOX folks operate in that chamber. It's hard for them to go against their "peers", because if their "peers" end up being right (and I think we're all in agreement that this election could go either way at this point), they're going to get laughed at and lose credibility. They can't do things like dis the credibility of their own paid experts. IOW, even if they think it (and the probably don't), they can't tell Luntz that they think his screening methodology let a bunch of Obama plants into his focus group. They have to run and talk about what the focus group said as if it represents reality.
There's almost three weeks left in this election, and there are reputable stories about $200 about to be spent by McCain and the NRA ... plus rumor-level stories about another $200 million in pro-GOP 527s and PACS. That amounts to unlimited funding and is enough to saturate the airwaves and overwhelm anything that Obama and the MSM can say. The ads need to start running NOW, by tomorrow evening at the latest. I was watching McCain's expression throughout the debate, and there were a number of times when he looked like he had a real sh*t-eating Cheshire Cat grin on his face when Obama was saying something. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the McCain Campaign has dozens of ads nearly ready to go, and were just waiting for Obama to give them the material to do a plug $ chug with. I read McCain's expressions as evidence that Obama was probably giving him that material.
Or at least I'd hope that's what it was. McCain certainly came out fighting tonight, foretelling an aggressive fight to win/fight to the finish campaign (vice a "lose with honor" campaign). So he's got the first half covered. The second half is going to be with the ads. We'll know about that in the next day or two.
To: antceecee
It doesn’t matter as much what we and the left think. It’s the undecided and swing voters. It would appear that the women in these groups are falling all over themselves to fellate the “anointed one”. And most of these people don’t watch the debates. They just tune into the MSM and decide.
To: TonyInOhio
Senator Government. That’s the first slip of the tongue I can remember in a long time that turned out to be a real classic goody.
John McCain won -hands down. I just want NObama lose in a landslide.
The best part of my day today was in a Los Angeles Post Office and when I walked in a group of 4-5 folks were talking politics. I overheard a guy who said he has been a life-long Democrat (he was in his mid-50's) and he IS NOW VOTING FOR McCAIN/PALIN. Great stuff!

Here comes tired old Ferraro. Hey Ferraro, I’m not young and I text. Stupid comment.
