Conservatives yesterday ripped Obama after he was caught on video telling an Ohio plumber that he intends to take the profits of small-business owners and "spread the wealth around" to those with lesser incomes.
The fracas over Obama's tax plan broke out Sunday outside Toledo when Joe Wurzelbacher approached the candidate.
Wurzelbacher said he planned to become the owner of a small plumbing business that will take in more than the $250,000 amount at which Obama plans to begin raising tax rates.
"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the blue-collar worker asked.
...Obama responded that it would...
Critics said Obama let the cat out of the bag.
"It's clear that his main goal is redistribution of wealth, not growth," said Andy Roth with the anti-tax group Club for Growth. "He's perfectly happy to destroy wealth as long as he can redistribute it."
Obama has been meticulous, Roth said, to conceal the "socialistic" nature of his tax plans. "But every once in a while, he lets it slip," he said.

Did you get the transcript for tonight that far in advance? ;)
“McCain needs to jump all over this tonight.”
He will.
Once people realize that businesses being taxed means less salaries and less jobs maybe they will get it...
PING!!!!!
Not a tax cut. He did not give proportionally give back according to how they were taxed. Hood stole from a pool of money and then distributed the money according to his personal whims. Same as Obama.
The only reason socialism doesnt work is people.~mapmaker77
The only reason people don’t work is socialism.~mlocher
Too long for a tagline...
And RACIST
But... That's only because the anointed one hasn't tried it yet.
0bama is arrogant and bold now. He’s had the media carry him to what he thinks will be a landslide victory, and he knows he can say ANYTHING he wants to and it won’t hurt him.
As a small business person Plumber Joe spoke for me. We didn’t get anything out of obamarama that most of us didn’t already know, but at least it’s on record now. I can argue the point with the family members on the other side. (not that i think it will do any good with the dumocrat part of the family)

Good grief. The fact that the people recieving a distribution were the same people that paid the taxes earlier in the story is close enough. The story didn’t come with a spreadsheet detailing collections and distributions.
And, the fact that recipients actually paid taxes is certainly a distinction from the Obama plan (in which the rich pay, and the poor recieve).

Obama has been meticulous, Roth said, to conceal the “socialistic” nature of his tax plans....
McCain needs to slice and dice Obama’s concealed socialism.
Oh goodie!
We get to see little Katie Colic cry while wearing her black pants-suit-of-mourning!
at least Robin Hood stole from the rich. Obama wants to steal from plumbers.
Incredible. And of course ABC isn’t going to show this little ditty on their network news show.
And for all of those thinking this is going to be brought up in the debate tonight, dream on. It’ll be up to McCain to bring it up independently (which he probably won’t), but you can bet the “moderator” won’t be bringing it up.
Let’s hope he does
McCain, should explain the failures of socialism/communism and then conclude with, “Senator Obama, you should have listened to the plumber”.
Your point about spreadsheets made me laugh in a positive way! You are creative!
Hood did not ensure that only those that paid taxes got a "distribution." He gave to those in the immediate vicinity. Hood clearly was a populist trying to gain favor with the peasants with his give-aways.
Just like Obama.
Everyone paid taxes.

I’m not so sure this is such a good issue for McCain
“A plurality of voters (47%) say Barack Obamas plan to raise taxes on those who earn over $250,000 a year is good for the troubled U.S.”
A better issue IMO is the income tax refund to 40% who don’t ecen pay income tax. This needs to be identified as a huge new ENTITLEMENT WELFARE program.
