Conservatives yesterday ripped Obama after he was caught on video telling an Ohio plumber that he intends to take the profits of small-business owners and "spread the wealth around" to those with lesser incomes.
The fracas over Obama's tax plan broke out Sunday outside Toledo when Joe Wurzelbacher approached the candidate.
Wurzelbacher said he planned to become the owner of a small plumbing business that will take in more than the $250,000 amount at which Obama plans to begin raising tax rates.
"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the blue-collar worker asked.
...Obama responded that it would...
Critics said Obama let the cat out of the bag.
"It's clear that his main goal is redistribution of wealth, not growth," said Andy Roth with the anti-tax group Club for Growth. "He's perfectly happy to destroy wealth as long as he can redistribute it."
Obama has been meticulous, Roth said, to conceal the "socialistic" nature of his tax plans. "But every once in a while, he lets it slip," he said.

SShhhhhhhh.
Well, I do remember Perky Katie wearing a black dress after the 2000 and 2004 elections.
Another great line for McCain to use tonight!
Please, Senator McCain, defend small business against Obamanation!
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe.....and saw.
There’s only one person in this race that has ever run a small business- Sarah Palin.
I guess she followed "the code."
I’ll give due credit to badpacifist from another thread who essentially said it.
How come nobody has asked Obama how he feels about reparations? Seriously...that would polarize things...
What do you bet that on Novemeber 5th, the MSM anchors will be wearing black armbands ?
I was thinking the same thing. I was going to mock their little “fake mourning” because it’s clear that all the MSMers will be wearing Black on November 5th. I’ll pitch in for some sack clothes and ashes if that makes them feel any better.
She actually called the small business person I work for...greedy. This person works harder than almost anyone I know. 7 days a week and far more than 40 hours or 8 hours a day. Greedy.
So you see they(liberals) don't classify these small business owners as productive components of a working economy. SBO’s are evil greedy people against their version of society.
...or the gay mafia...
Greedy?
Well, here’s what you fire back next time.
Is it more greedy to work hard and want to keep more of what you earn,
or is it more greedy to empower the government to steal what someone else has earned so that you’ll feel better about yourself?
Amen to that!
2 Thessalonians 3:10Do you think Obama reads his Bible? For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."
But he's so cuuuuute! < swoon>
Can McCain also shoot down Obama’s 95 percent figure, not that many people pay income taxes.
He could have organized as a subchapter S and limited payroll taxes to a reasonable salary. The remainder (dividends) are taxed as ordinary income not subject to payroll taxes. John Edwards and many others have used subchapter S corporations to avoid payroll taxes. However, the IRS has cracked down on subchapter S corporations claiming low salaries so it is a risky endeavor. With the chosen one's intent to increase payroll taxes, subchapter S corporations will have even more appeal. I expect a rat crackdown especially on non favored areas of business.
I firmly believe that if you take money from the rich and give it to the poor, most of it will end up back in the hands of the rich as today’s poor seem to squander their money because they know the government will give them more.
unfortunately the tax paying public is getting to be a smaller and smaller percentage of voters. Soon we will be in the minority if we are not already. We are at the point where the net government recipients can vote themselves larger and larger portions of our income.
