Branchflower Report Released: Palin was within her rights to fire Monegan

The headline that will be screamed from the rooftops everywhere is Branchflower's claim that Palin "abused her power."

But he also admits she was within her right to can Monegan.

I've skimmed through much of it and the basic conclusion is that Todd Palin was trying to exert pressure to get Wooten fired, and Palin should have stopped him from doing this. She herself is not accused of doing anything.

Pretty thin gruel.

But of course, the media will have an orgy with this.

At least this will take the focus off of McCain saying Obama’s a decent family man and we have nothing to be scared about.

(I have written a lengthy letter to the McCain campaign about that and will share it with the forum shortly)

Come on I’ve been posting here for years, just because I disagree doesn’t mean a thing. The media gonna have a field day with this.

What the heck is up with FR lately. Used to be you could diagree without being called a friggin Muslim and or Troll.

I have my opinion..lets see how it plays out.

I haven’t thrown insults around. Have a least some respect for a differing voice.

Branchflower Report Released: Palin was within her rights to fire Monegan.

Exactly. More proof that Gov Palin confronts those in the wrong.

Go Sarahcuda. Looking forward to your continued relentless newsworthy attacks on LIAR Obama. Obama is a LIAR and it needs to be exposed. We know that Gov Palin WILL BE THE NEXT Presidential Nominee in 2012. Whoot, whoot - holla!

OBAMA = LIAR

The media will try, but it’s a non-starter in light of everything else that’s going on. Plus the dropped this on Friday afternoon, the worst time of the week for the news cycle.

The State trooper tasered a 10 year old boy. The supervisor would not fire him. Sarah did and was within her rights. Go Sarah

JNL to backtothestreets

Bull and ignorant propoganda. If you ever sat down and read the Koran I’d actually believe you.

Much like the Bible the Koran can be twisted to any agenda.

The Koran does not advocate violence if it does I’d like you to point out where.

Amanda Carpenter: TrooperGate Investigator Sued:

The citizen suit raised doubts about Branchflower’s neutrality, citing public statements from the investigator’s “Project Director” Democratic Sen. Hollis French.

French, who is actively supporting Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy, handpicked Branchflower to conduct an investigation to determine whether Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin violated ethics rules in firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan. French has publicly said he expects Branchflower’s inquiry to culminate in an “October surprise” that would hurt Palin’s chances of becoming vice president in November.

Their suit specifically detailed an exchange Branchflower had with Alaskan lawmakers during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing last Friday. “Branchflower admitted that not only did Senator French actually remove a name from Branchflower’s subpoena list, but that he was not sure why French had done that,” their suit said. “When asked specifically about the removal of the name, Branchflower stated that he ‘would have to defer that question to Mr. French,’ thus admitting that the investigation was under the de facto control and direction of Senator French.”

Posting for a long time doesn’t mean you can’t be a troll. A difference of opinion would be something along the lines of discussing whether this will be ignored as part of a Friday news dump or that the MSM will run with this for the next week and a half. To speculate about IMPEACHMENT is not realistic because there are NO grounds. As slanted as the report is...they admit what she did was LAWFUL. I repeat, one cannot be impeached for acting legally...kind of why they’ve been whining about impeaching Bush for the last several years but haven’t been able to (except in bogus basement courtrooms). See when someone comes out with the kind of ridiculous hyperbole you did I generally find that person is often a troll or hysterical or both.

They said...

#1: For Trooper Wooten, she DID violate the law.

#2: For firing Commissioner Monegan, she DID NOT violate the law.

I think many people are mixing up two of the findings of the panel: the one about Trooper Wooten, and the Commissioner Monegan firing.

And here I thought one had to actually break the law to be impeached.

The report clearly states that the panel's opinion was that she broke the law.
