Report: Palin abused power, broke no laws in trooper case

CNN SAYS SHE BROKE NO LAWS

Uhhh..that's not what the report says, from my layman's reading. It seems to claim that she violated a statute of the state of Alaska:

Title 39. Public Officers and Employees
Chapter 52. Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act
    Section 110. Scope of Code.

I think they pulled sponsorship years ago, but due to contract agreements, MSNBC was able to keep the name versus go through a total rebrand.

You have to remember, Gov. Palin ran against the corrupt a-holes up in Alaska in the Republican party and won! She has made enemies in her own party by exposing the garbage they were doing up there.

not if our fearless leader refuses to bring that up as well, it has to be done in obamas face and not in a web ad.

From the actual report:

Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

They simply referenced the laws in which the findings where based. The end result finding is what is stated above.

There were some Republicans on the commission. Headline on abc "ALASKA ETHICS PROBE REPORT: GOV. PALIN UNLAWFULLY ABUSED HER AUTHORITY"

They had to install extra servers to handle the report when they post it on the web.

Didn't Wooten want to taser Palin's daughter, too?

""There's not a consensus for the conclusion," said GOP Rep. Bill Stoltze. He said he expected there would be "robust and vigorous intellectual debate on that in other corners." So Clinton can fire all the attorneys and the travel staff, Bush can fire Karl Rove, but Palin cannot fire one man who wanted to do an end run around travelling to Washington without her authorization.

Monegan lied then. He told another story early on which I read. They got to him.

Monegan should have fired the trooper for what he did no matter who he was divorced from for his behavior as LEO. If there was domestic abuse involved, which I believe there was, he should not only have been fired, but not allowed to own a gun. That's what they do in my state, don't know about Alaska. I suppose it's hard to find a totally honest trooper up there.

But the details aren't going to matter. I won't believe the report anyway. I'm convinced she had a right to fire Monegan for any reason. And I don't know what she gave for a reason should matter. Plus I don't know what involvement her husband might have had in it.

A real shame. The worse guys win again. The constant din in the media will l be so loud that the real truth will never come out now at least in time for the election.

The people who really like her are going to be really angry now.

The opinion of the investigator was that she violated some ethical statutes, but that she did not violate the law in firing him. She could fire him just because she woke up cranky that morning. That is her right.

Glenn Beck is on the same time as BORe, and I’m sure that is taking some viewers (albeit, BORe still leads).

So you don’t think Alaska Statute 39.52.110 is a law? I’m curious...what do you think was the reason they didn’t go for the second half of AS 39.52.120(a)?

The final findings were she was perfectly within her rights and power(not exact words but close enough)to fire this guy so how the he** could it be abuse of Power. The only thing the MSM is reporting is the abuse of power crap. Oh, well, anyone with a brain, and that means most conservatives, knows she didn’t abuse anything.

I spoke too soon. CNN’s headline has now been changed to read “Panel: Palin abused power, broke law in trooper case”

As the paper reported it, they found that she “might” have had personal reasons,

"Might" is not a sufficient evidenciary standard to trigger a 250 page report. Hell, its not even enough to trigger an investigation. This was clearly a partisan witch hunt and even with a partisan witch hunt, they came up with zip.

This report vindicates Sarah Palin. They rode to the ends of the earth (literally) to dig up dirt on this lady and this is the worst they can do? Hell, I've committed bigger sins since lunch and saying Hell is not included in that list, Gosh Darnit.

Reread it, the finding is an opinion ‘she abused her power’ but she didn’t break the law. It isn’t that the statue isn’t a law, they gave the opinion she abused her power, but the conclusion she didn’t break the law.

Theoretically, they could impeach her. Likely, a verbal reprimand. This is more of an issue of a civil problem. Wooten is going to sue them both.

Check out Drudge - he’s not even mentioning it

I mean if it was something wrong and huge he would have reported it immediately..

Like I said before BFD...

MSM is deflecting big time because the Ayres controversey is really getting to Obama

You know it seems to be the allegation that she abused her power is not within the scope of their investigation!

The investigation was on whether she abused her power by firing Moneghan because he didn’t fire Wooten.

Instead, they used the pressuring of trying to get Wooten fired as the abuse of power. That doesn’t prove that she was firing Moneghan for that reason.

Am I missing something here?

This is BS!!!
