After days of watching in silence, McCain calms the crowd at his Minnesota town meeting.
I want everyone to be respectful. And lets make sure we are, because thats the way politics is done in America.
Tells one supporter who says hes scared of an Obama presidency: I have to tell you, he is a decent person, a person that you do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States.
After a woman calls Obama an Arab, McCain interrupts to say: No, maam. He is a decent family man, citizen

I did not know that. He is one of the very best, and thank God ... in spite of dirty Dem tricks... the people knew that.

So sorry to see this, as I have enjoyed your posts. But one last thought: Don’t let personal feelings re McCain obscure what is best... and what is worst.... for OUR COUNTRY.

And now I am just on a rampage against Hussein, and of course will vote against him.
My fault with McCain has never been on issues, because we all disagree on issues, it is with his continued capitulation to the press.
I think it is dangerous for him, and for those who come after him, when he takes orders from them, and is blackmailed by them, he only gives them more power.
And weakness us in the long run.
But I do think he is preparing to return to the Senate, and by dissing his supporters, gives him back his “maverick” status.
Guessing what someone else is thinking is just that: a guess.
