Thinking the Unthinkable: Should Americans Refuse to Recognize Obama Victory?

Should Dick Tracy's, Mary Poppins', and Jive Turkey's votes count?

The American social contract, like that of any democracy or republic, includes a universal agreement to abide by the will of a majority in a democratic election. Even if we do not like the winner, we recognize his or her right to hold office according to the will of the majority. We similarly recognize the fastest runner in a race as the winner, and the student who earns the highest grade point average as the valedictorian.

No one, however, recognizes the outcome of a game in which one of the competitors is proven to have used steroids. When an athlete is caught cheating, his or her prizes are revoked, and any records he might have set are expunged from the record books. A student who is caught with a cheat sheet gets an F ...No one pays a gambling bet when the "winner" is caught with extra cards up his sleeve. A political candidate whose electoral "majority" includes the votes of minors, dogs, dead people, Dick Tracy, Mary Poppins, Jive Turkey, and so on, has no more right to an office than a banana republic dictator who overthrows a government by force. There are now so many credible allegations of electoral fraud by Obama's campaign and its associates that Barack Obama cannot be accepted as the legitimate winner of the upcoming election.

...The accusations of cheating, in this case through voter intimidation and fraud, come not from "somebody's blog" or anonymous Internet rumors, but from Hillary Clinton's campaign. The accusation was signed by Hillary Clinton campaign counsel Lyn Utrecht. ...

Next we have ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), which is supporting Obama's candidacy. We will let the news speak for itself.

Jive Turkey Rides Again ["Jive Turkey," as shown below, is the name of a "voter" allegedly registered by ACORN--along with Dick Tracy and Mary Poppins] ACORN’s voter-registration affiliate, Project Vote, was founded by leftist activist Sandy Newman. When Newman was looking to hire somebody to run Project Vote in Illinois, he turned to a local lawyer who had conducted training for ACORN: Barack Obama. Small world. (“He did one hell of a job,” Newman says. Undoubtedly.) ACORN’s political-action committee is supporting Obama, to nobody’s great surprise, and ACORN has hired Michelle Obama’s old Chicago law firm to help them out in a million-dollar embezzlement case. (National Review’s Stanley Kurtz documents the Obama-ACORN nexus here.) More significant, Obama represented ACORN in a lawsuit against Illinois, seeking to force the implementation of “motor voter” registrations, an initiative that has provided rich opportunity for voter-registration fraud.
ACORN office in Vegas raided in voter-fraud probe "Secretary of State spokesman Bob Walsh says ACORN is accused of submitting multiple voter registrations with false and duplicate names."
The Acorn Indictments: A union-backed outfit faces charges of election fraud.

So, less than a week before the midterm elections, four workers from Acorn, the liberal activist group that has registered millions of voters, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms to the Kansas City, Missouri, election board. But hey, who needs voter ID laws?

...Acorn and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent years. In Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey. During a Congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials from several counties in the state explained Acorn's practice of dumping thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even though the forms had been collected months earlier.

Missouri officials suspect ACORN of voter registration fraud

“I don’t even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy,” Davis said. “We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don’t exist, people who have driver’s license numbers that won’t verify or Social Security numbers that won’t verify. Some have no address at all.”

Group accused of voter registration fraud

On Tuesday, authorities in Nevada seized records from ACORN after finding fraudulent registration forms that included the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys. In April, eight ACORN workers in the St. Louis, Mo., area pleaded guilty to federal election fraud for submitting false registration cards for the 2006 election. U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said they submitted cards with false addresses and names, and forged signatures.

As voter registration rises, so do fears of fraud. Claims include potential for ineligible voters, disenfranchisement Sally LaSota, director of the Lake County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, said all of the applications submitted by ACORN are being scrutinized after officials found many with the names of deceased residents or suspicious names such as Jimmy Johns, the name of a sub sandwich franchise.

"One of the glaring problems," Hoagland said, "was that several were done with the same handwriting and signatures, sometimes in a very distinctive style."

In a group of 50 applications she reviewed earlier this week, the listed phone numbers on 48 were nonexistent or out of service, and the other two were for businesses "that had no idea what we were talking about when we called to check on their registration," she said.

Former justice slams ACORN's role in electoral process

Gleason said ACORN, a nonprofit, submitted 252,595 voter registrations in Philadelphia. There were 57,435 registrations rejected -- most of them submitted by ACORN, Gleason said.

The forms had faulty Social Security numbers, incorrect dates of birth, "clearly fraudulent" signatures, addresses that did not exist and duplicate registrations, Gleason said. A man was registered to vote 15 times since the primary, according to Gleason, and some people listed vacant lots as their addresses.

Is Acorn Stealing the Election? By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Wednesday, October 08, 2008 4:20 PM PT Election Fraud: A radical group Barack Obama used to work for is committing voter-registration fraud in several states, ahead of the election. What does Obama know about this scam?

It's a legitimate question to raise now that the FBI has raided the offices of the nonprofit Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now in Nevada and North Carolina, two states where Obama and John McCain are running neck-and-neck. ACORN has registered bogus voters in both states.

For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for "advance work.")

According to this article from a highly reputable newspaper, Obama paid ACORN $800,000 to register new voters--and we have seen how ACORN is doing this--and then he lied to the Federal Election Commission about it.

No. This makes us sound like libs. We will suck up our guts and fight again in 2010 and 2012.

The more we hurl accusations of cheating (however justified) and question the legitimacy of elections, the more democracy will be undermined in the future.

No sense doing an Al Gore redux on vote counting. We will just have to buckle down for the worst economic situation since the Great Depression and wait for the 2010 Congressional elections hoping people come to their senses when unemployment is 14% and inflation is in double digits and Obama can no longer blame it all on Bush. Sadly it may take 20 years for the economy to recover from 4 years of Obama’s socialism and the orgy of spending and new taxes.

Absent crystal clear proof of fraud, no. It should be, “I didn’t vote for him, but he’s our President and I hope he does well (despite my belief that he won’t).”

I completely disagree. He is a dirty cheater. If he were elected, his legitimacy should not be acknowledged, period.

Obama is a dirty terrorist, he should be put in jail instead of white house.

It's now or never. 2010 will be lost to us if we lose now. What people don't realize about voter fraud is all that is needed is the names to get on the voter rolls. From then on it's very easy for fraudulent votes to be cast in those names--over and over and over and over.

The rolls are so polluted there is no way to sort them out. Add amnesty to 20+ million illegals and America is no longer.

If he wins, he’s President. I believe in the system. That said, we need to do whatever we can do to win.

This is indeed how we do things in this country, but crystal clear proof of fraud (including guilty pleas by ACORN employees) IS emerging.

Our Freedom in the entire western world is gone forever. Both parties and the media as well as our big business companies are in on the one world economic and social communist government. The "civil war" will last about a week...after Congress calls in the Blue helmets.... it's over.

The stupidest thing of all...they think a bunch of slaves will fight off Islam.

I appreciate what you're saying, but must disagree. It is exactly this "high road" thinking that has allowed a splinter minority (the far left) to essentially take control of this country over the past forty years. I believe the time has come to fight.

The first step must be to pry the infostructure (education/media) from their iron grip. I believe it's time to take them on in court on multiple class-action fronts. We will never, ever, ever successfully reclaim our country if we don't break their stranglehold on information, and this election should make that fact crystal clear to all.

Actually, not pointing out voting fraud will only encourage more of it, to the point where elections here become meaningless (if they are not already). Also, some people who are not aware of the fraud may take notice.
