CNN...rigged poll
Posted on 10/08/2008 11:36:54 AM PDT by ssadbarney
Having never posted here before I may be covering old news...but last night I was appalled so much that I came to this site and registered.
On CNN's pre-debate coverage they announced that they had selected 69 voters to respond to the debate. 38 democrats and 31 republicans. After the debate and all day today they have reported that 54% of their selected "debate watchers" would now vote for Obama. Isn't 54% of 69 still 38...the exact number of democrats in their original group.

Welcome to Free Republic and thank you for your post.

Actually, 54% is 37 (rounded to nearest integer), meaning Zero lost one Democrat.
This is what the liberal establishment are doing with all polls, way oversampling Dems, knowing that no one but math geeks actually look at poll internals.

LOL, well, ACTUALLY, 54% of 69 is 37.26, or closer to 37.
So you might say, the Dems LOST a vote.

Isn't 54% of 69 still 38? Well.... if you want to get technical about it.... (and, of course, who doesn't?)...54% of 69 is 37.26 people.
So, if 37 people voted for O'bama that would be 37/69 = 53.62%, which would round up to 54%.
But that means that one of the Dems is not voting party line.

I know the researchers who gathered these groups.
They are both adamant democrats.
It is quite discouraging to me to see how extensively the deception is in this campaign to create a hermetically sealed impression that a strong majority prefer Obama.
this has never been the case but liberal partisans are working to demoralize the conservative and independent bases of this country. I fear this big psychology experiment may be working.
