While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

Why do we keep stepping into the traps?
I have four years cash in my 401k and paid all bills in advance just to have cash out of the bank. Plus a teeny stash in an undisclosed place not in my home.
I fear for the financial future.

I moved mine in June, to cash reserves; doing OK, but I’m still gonna have to live under a bridge somewhere when I’m old. I never had money (had kids instead) to buy a house. Had I known I could lie about my salary and get a McMansion...

One of my catz gnaws on the water supply lines behind the toilet when she wants me to get up and feed her. How weird is that?
Brokaw spoke at the OU Graduation the other year — he even brought up Bush was selected not elected and told the graduating class there would never be another greatest generation. I was sitting there thinking what are these graduates, chopped liver. He also said there is no need to vote when elections are decided by a court not a voter. I was fighting mad by the time the speech was over.
He didn’t stay for the reception afterward but took off right after he spoke.
He was horrible and a speech I will never forget.
