PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08
Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3
While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

You are right. I saw what I saw and I saw McCain win this debate. He’s older, wiser and more experienced. We are at war and in an international financial crisis. McCain can lead and Obama is a fraud.
Why do I have to listen to all of these high paid jabberers tell me what they just said. I think Palin pointed this out last week. Just listen and decide.

I’m sending you a private reply about your question, because I can’t get the italic commands to display. They want to disappear, as they normally would when you’re giving that ‘command’. If you get the private reply, and the italic commands appear, why not try it out responding to this post?

McCain needs to point out that having a Democrat controlled Congress and a Democrat President would give the 9% approval rated Congress way too much power!

I'm talking about his local organizations. Here you have a Freeper offering free billboard space to McCain and he can't get a response from his campaign. That's poor organization.
There are others that are complaining that they can't get signs and stickers after weeks. That's poor organization.
It's not McCain, it is the people who form his grass roots organizations that are failing him.

Mac was fine, Rose...he was shaky in the beginning and we were a tad scared. Barry babbled and acted like a spoiled brat demanding more time. His answers were lies and he did the usual—Pok-i-stahn, Toll-i-bahn. Tom B. stunk as a moderator. The questions and audience members were bor-ing! Mac's finest moments came at the end when a Naval officer shook Mac's hand after asking his question. And with his closing statement about America first—it gave you chills. Keep praying, Rosie—keep praying!

Sadly Barama didnt mess up real bad without a teleprompter. He lied real smooth As I pointed out many times, he shouldn't be underestimated. Fooling people has been his profession all along, as Community Organizer, Attorney, etc. He never used a teleprompter to do it before, and he doesn't need one now.

I was feeling fine until they interviewed the undecided group and they all thought Obama touched them more and answered the questions better. I almost burst into tears. Our country is seriously gone. Just gone.
Hang in there. They only interviewed the very young undecideds.

This made me very angry tonight. McCain HAS to find a way to take this rudeness to the woodshed in next weeks deabte, this is the second time Obama has acted like this, he takes over the debate and ignores the moderator and McCain's time and space.
Funny that Gwen Ifil was so upset that Palin ignored her last week, but at least Palin was polite about it and kept to the time allotted her and didn't interrupt Biden.

CNN SNAP POLL- Looks like McCain still won't be Miss Congeniality. Even after buying their effin' mortgages.

I thinkthe Kraut is starved for attention. If he agrees with McCain he’s on board. But... if he says some controversial thing, people will tune in to listen to him. I had respected his opinion at first but lately, he’s gaming the system. I’ve lost respect for the guy. From intellectual to showman!

Sen. McCain won the middle.
I really do think so. the point of view of political junkies with a dug-in position wont change now or ever. And we will see tonite's performances through a different set of goggles. but for the the middle/indy/moderates, they hear things differently than we do. And I dont think obammbi's smirking will go over real big with Joe and Joan white bread, they of the reagan dems. No surprise the FNC poll has it 86-12 in favor of mccain.
