Whoa!!! We just had one of these in our parting lot!
By the time someone showed up with a phone that could take pictures, he was down the street.

I have a pet story. Many years ago when the girls were little, I loved to bake cakes and decorate them. Well, one Easter I had made an Easter rabbit cake and decorated it real fancy. I took it out in the back yard to show my neighbor. Well, the dog jumped up on me, knocked the cake out of my hands and ate the whole thing. It is a wonder he was not sick for a month with all of that sugar in the frosting.
Oh, another one. I had gone after Jan at church and left a meat loaf on the table with hubby and my other daughter at home supposedly watching it. Well, when I got home, they asked if they could go out to get something to eat. It seemed they were not doing their job and the dog had gotten to the meat loaf and eaten the whole thing. Different dog this time.

Bunny is obviously a Rabbit and Zeus is an American Eski dog. Both are my oldest daughter's and her husband's along with 3 cat and 2 parrots. Naughty Bunny has a one-track mind like Zeus... Mike rinsed off 2 bunches of grapes (still on the 'vine' and put them in a bowl on the coffee table to snack on while we were watching TV. While we were engrossed in the television, Bunny stood up on his hind legs, grabbed 1 of the 2 bunches and quickly bolted under the dining room table. (He knows that if he goes under the dining room table he can elude being caught, at least for a few minutes. When I go one way he goes another). His eyes are bigger than his stomach I think; I don't know how he figured he could fit a whole bunch of grapes in his tummy (or how he figured we'd let him get away with it). Zeus just watched in annoyance (I'm sure he's thinking how come Bunny doesn't get yelled at but you can't yell at a prey animal without risk of a heart attack). At least Zeus didn't try to cash in on Bunny's grab; he is finally starting to figure out that 99.9% of the time what the bunny eats does not taste good to dogs (and we don't let Zeus eat grapes anyway -- if raisins are bad for dogs then so are grapes). Snatching food from the coffee table is one of Zeus' old tricks. He doesn't try anymore because he knows he will get in trouble. Bunny still has to learn, but it's going to take him a while longer... Never a dull moment at the local zoo.

When I was a kid, we trained our collie to bring in the newspaper. He did an excellent job but he also went around and collected the neighbors’ papers and brought them to our house.

Have posted this several times before but it's still my favorite. Pixie, my dog and Charlie my cat. Charlie was killed by a hit and run driver a few days after this was taken.
