GIVE THE BABY A BONE.
My baby boy was in my lap crying because he was hungry and his Mom was upstairs getting his bottle ready. My Shiba Inu came up to my feet looking up at me, and cocked his head and then ran upstairs. He returned moments later with his rubber bone in his mouth. He jumped onto the armrest of the chair and dropped the rubber bone onto the babys stomach. Its like he was saying, here Dad, give him my bone, that will get him to stop crying.
Shiba’s are the cutest dog in the world - and boy what a chick magnet. Just don't tell the wife though - or its back to a Pekingese for you.

This is a picture of the same kind of dog I had while growing up. A very loyal and smart dog. His name was Barney, and he was a Brittany Spaniel. A good bird dog, that my brother & I would go hunting with ...

"Oh my goodness....look at that face....Sadie is too cute. She looks very young. And Sheba is posing quite nicely. I love her color."Actually, sigh...that is Sadie's baby picture from the shelter website. I saw that and got into the car immediately and went and got her. She's actually 4-1/2 yrs. now, but has started to object to my posting her portrait shot because, the same as her mama, she's gotten a little chubby over the years and is too embarrassed to strut her stuff.
Now, Sheba on the other hand is almost 10 yrs. and is as trim as a youngster. She is a wild wolf, shepherd, husky mix we rescued from the north Georgia mountains, near North Carolina. They were on the way to put her in the shelter when my youngest son brought her to us.

Brittany Spaniels are so special and wonderful. I bet your Barney was the greatest and I know you miss him. We never forget our childhood dogs. I was talking to my mama the other day about a pup we had named Freckles and she almost fell out of her chair. I was only two or three when we had him and she couldn’t believe I remembered him. Trust me, it was a LONG, LONG, LONG time ago.

You’re so lucky to have cute doggies.
My son lives with me and has allergies, thus, no pets. :(((
One day I’ll have another doggy though. :)
