I loved my poodles. I had two black...Pogo and Stormy...and
Angel was a beautiful Silver. She was an airhead deluxe, but
sweet!

I miss them all!

Well, charming is one thing.
I also have a sly wicked side that appears at times...
But not here!

We just lost Cheyenne this last Spring. She was old and the vet recommended putting her down.

That was one of the hardest days of my life.

We still catch motion outside on the porch and expect to see her.

Ohhhh...sometimes you have your moments! LOL!

You are never malicious, though! Never!

It is a very hard thing to do...saying goodbye to an old
friend.

My hubby teases that he is the official murderer in our
family. Poor guy does get that job more than I do. :(

Wow, talk about your black humor...but he’s right. I guess we want to spare your sensibilities when it comes to doing what’s necessary but sad.

And no, never malicious. I care too much for people. Most of ‘em, anyway.

Solly is 5 foot tall when she stand on her back legs.. She can reach anything that I can.

Just to let you know that there has been some improvement in my husband’s condition. They finally figured out that he’s had a blockage in the small intestine. Possibly some scar tissue, most likely edema or swelling of the intestine.

If it resolves itself in the next 24 hours or so, he can come home. If it doesn’t, then we’ll have to look at other options.

I don’t want to look at the other options!!

Soldier son has been rather beside himself over this but I think after getting to talk to his dad yesterday and my “motherly” email early this morning, he’s settled down. I reminded him that yes it was frustrating for him to be there and all this going on here but his lack of concentration over there could cost him his life.

Both of my girls were rescues.

Got them on purpose.

Still had a bunch of love to give after I lost a very loved Lab named Brittany.

Prayers for your hubby to continue to improve and to get
to go home soon. Prayers of strength and courage for you
who has to take care of him AND keep your son’s spirits
up. Prayers to your hero son to stay safe and to have
the strength to keep focused on the job at hand.
