Michelle Bernard: McCain's Moves 'Like an Epileptic Fit'

How unbalanced was MSNBC's "Race for the White House" panel this evening? The two Obama-friendly panelistsEugene Robinson of the Washington Post and Richard Wolffe of Newsweekwere ostensibly offset by Philly radio talker Michael Smerconish and Independent Women's Forum head Michelle Bernard. But channeling Dem congressman James Clyburn on this morning's Today, Smerc called the House Republicans "sophomoric." That was nothing. One-upping Smerconish in the pejorative department, Bernard said that every recent McCain move has been "like an epileptic fit."
Joe Scarborough, putting in a long day's work and subbing for regular host David Gregory, teed up Bernard's snipe with a negative take of his own on McCain's behavior.

...Michael Smerconish...Smerconish does have a show on Philly's 1210 talk radio which features Rush and Hannity, and for some reason has a reputation as a conservative, but every time I've heard him in action he's been trying to accomodate and placate the 'rats to such a degree, maybe to try to appear fair, that he might as well join their club - don't look for any meaningful support for conservatives or 'pubs from this jellyfish......

He's a trial lawyer who's claim to conservative fame is standing up to the Mumia fanatics.
But success has gone to his head and his pomposity level has become unbearable to me. I don't listen to him any more.

Does this mean that I can now tell all the proclaimers of doom to “not get spastic”.

Thanks for the correction. I had taken her comments to mean physical. That’s an even worse slam on epileptics though, since they are many times bright people.

Did you hear or see last night;s report on NBC? It was supposed to be about "The woman who saved John McCain when he was shot down." It did speak with her AND spoke with his jailer. His jailer recalls having English lessons and being philosophical with Senator McCain.
I was in The LI Drum Center waiting for my son when this broadcast was played over the speakers. I couldn't believe my ears. First they mention how John McCain says he was tortured. Then they have this torturer say he doesn't remember it that way!

She was referring to his behavior, not his physical moves.

OK, so what characteristic of his behavior is similar to that of an epileptic?

I agree. Someone else pointed that out above.
I don’t think my subsequent comments were right on target either, truth be told.
It’s was a poor way to make a point, quite disrespectful of McCain and epileptics.
Democrats who love to paint themselves as advocates for people like this, are proven time and again to be mere exploiters of them for political gain.

OK, so what characteristic of his behavior is similar to that of an epileptic? I'm curious as well -- even if it is not the physical movements, I still find it outrageously insulting that the party of FDR is trying to claim that a man with disability is somehow impeded, unfit to serve as president of the United States.
