Bill Clinton will tomorrow officially set aside wounded feelings that arose from the Democrats' long and bitter primary contest as he heads out to Florida to hold his first rally for Barack Obama.
It comes more than a month after Clinton's emotional endorsement speech at the Democrats' convention and amid new speculation about whether he really wants Obama to win the White House.
Clinton's potential to inflict damage on Obama's prospects was underlined again today when John McCain released a new television ad using a clip of the former president to attack the Democrats.
Clinton's two appearances in the politically volatile Orlando and Fort Pierce areas mark his first in the general election season. He is being deployed to get more people to register to vote before the deadline in Florida and other states on Monday.

At the Clinton global initiative last week, the former president upset some Democrats by saying he personally liked McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, while adopting a much more impersonal tone when mentioning Obama. He did not even address Obama by name.
Clinton dug himself in even deeper in an interview with NBC at the weekend. When pressed as to whether he liked or admired Obama, he said he hardly knew him until they had lunch on September 11.
"Look, I had my first conversation with him in my entire life in Harlem," said Clinton. "I had talked to him but always in passing ... Hillary is the one who told me to go help him. She said, 'This guy's got real skills. He's got almost unlimited potential.' And so I did."

I thought Bill was going to wait until after Yom Kippour
As much as it kills them, the clown car media is going to do the best it can to ignore everything Bill says and does for the next five weeks. At this time last year, he was their concensus “most popular man in the world.” Now, unless he’s saying something unambiguously nice about Barak Obama, he is totally irrelevant.
Finally, that ought to sink Obama.
Been wondering to myself if Patrick Fitzgerald indicts The One before election day. I heard somewhere he was a Clinton supporter.
Now that’s funny right there. I don’t care who you are.
Wouldn’t it be hilarious if he held a “get out the vote” rally, never mentioned Obama and increased the turn out in McCain’s favor. That could be his game plan.
It’s well established that he’s a wh0re; it’s just taken this long to settle on the price for services rendered... ;)
I’m sure his “rally” will be held in places full of Obama supporters like in the middle of a crocodile-infested swamp or a panhandle church.
If he really wanted to make a difference, he could take his show on the road. To places like Old Europe, and Palestine, and Russia, and Iran, where everybody will be voting for Obama. We can thank the clown car media for conducting polls that tell us that the more the voters hate America, the more they prefer Obama.
Bubba goes to FL after solemnly observing the Jewish holidays, seeking to shore up the white trash vote and maybe, just maybe, find some finger lickin good barbeque and some GRITS (girls raised in the south).
Bill Clinton to the Obamanation: “Senator Obama is a nice, pleasant fellow (usually, except when he’s calling me a racist), he’s even “clean and articulate”..... and I am here to endorse him with all the enthusiasm I can possibly muster, because I know that he will continue to be a good liberal Senator if you just send him back to the Senate one more time..... oh, wait, what office is he running for again?”
white trash vote
That’s the ‘cracker’ vote!
He should begin by pointing out that he postponed the event by one day so as not to interfere with Barack’s celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
Ha! I’m sure he’s been getting an earful from Her Majesty the last couple of months. If I were Barack I’d be afraid, very afraid. “Unlimited POTENTIAL” means he ain’t nearly there yet, still wet behind those big ole ears.
Let’s hope Bill does what he did for Hillary. :)
