Right. How could McCain know that Pelosi would screw up so badly? Good point.

Don’t you understand, that was my whole point, Pelosi has no principals. She doesn’t care about the country, it’s all about her power. If she did something that you liked for a change, that’s besides the point. She doesn’t care if you like it or not, she just wants to get her way. And what is her way? A Democrat in the White House. It doesn’t matter if you happen to win a battle, the hag from San Francisco wants to win the war. That’s the point. Of course she sabataged the vote.

“The right-wing nuts passed up Mitt Romney, who’ expertise is definitely needed now and for some time to come.”

Independent primary voters, actually.

Mike Allen of Politico is a former WH reporter for the Washington Post, he’s a left wing liberal through and through, ignore his babble.

It would do nothing of the sort. Does it bother you that you have no understanding of the mechanics of this proposal that you have defeated? Does it bother you that it creates, in fact, NO debt, and that its FAILURE will produce absolutely PRODIGIOUS debts as the country slides into a deep recession now? No. Why? Because you are stupid and an ideologue, a bad combination.

McCain is trying to show America that he is above the politics as usual crowd. He will be a major part of whatever rescue bill succeeds.

How did the author miss it when Obama took credit for the bill before it failed?

“Of course when people can’t get loans and the economy tanks, they may have a little different perspective on this..... “

Are you so sure the economy will tank? I mean, we have the largest anticipatory Fear-Fest in US history and the loss yesterday failed to set a record [percentage wise]. Maybe they should yell louder and make wilder claims before they look like fools.

There’s still hope for a depression, but they need to work harder at it.

America keeps showing herself to be more conservative than he realized.

Every time McCain takes a conservative stance he gains in the polls. Every time he weasels and compromises and reaches across the aisle, he tanks.

If McCain would grow a conservative backbone for the next 30 days, he would win in a landslide.

“Could this be why Pelosi did her outrageous little speech before doing a vote? Could it be that Nancy wanted the Bill to be defeated so that she could hurt McCain? Yeah, it makes sense to me. This was all a bunch of political grandstanding by Pelosi to get the Bill defeated. No wonder she couldn’t deliver the votes, she didn’t want to deliver, that why she said what she did. What a complete fraud she is.”

How can it hurt McCain if he is blamed for the failure of the bill? The American public was 100 to 1 against the bill which of course means the public WANTED it to FAIL! I hope Nancy keeps blaming McCAin for the FAILURE of the bill and that McCAin says it NEEDED TO FAIL BECAUSE IT WAS A TERRIBLE BILL! Then McCain needs to say that the Republicans will proposed a good bill that cuts the Capital Gains Tax to ZERO for one year!

jOHN MCCAIN is not your typical politician. He is being thrown out their to say something, anything, but he is actually a worker bee not a butterfly like Obama. Who looks pretty and says the pretty words but has no substance.

Give McCain support....go to his website, comment on the debate and give him support or what you would like to see in the next debate.

This is no time for our team to start beating on the Captain!

I have a few question and hope that you will take the time to answer them for me since I’m new here. I’ve not been able to follow this matter closely as I’ve been spending a lot of time at the hospital who is in the CCU for ten days.

1] Who are those that you call right wing nuts?

2] How did they torpedo his campaign?

Thanks in advance.

"That’s the point. Of course she sabataged the vote."

And Rush and most of FR is celebrating our "victory". That's crazy. You can argue about her motives forever but what she accomplished is favored by the vast majority of Americans and most Freepers. All I ask is that we question why we find ourselves on the same side of the equation with a known witch. I find it hard to believe that Pelosi had anything in mind except the election of Obama and more Democrats to the House and Senate.

If Pelosi is working in her best interest then her actions simply cannot be in the best interest of the Freepers and true Americans. I stand by my argument. It is very hard for us to criticize Pelosi when the vote turned out like we wanted it to.

“Look at this crap they pull. McCain is perfectly capable of announcing the obvious - Pelosi screwed him. There’s a charming image.”

I know that Palin made a reference during the convention of how some in Washington are just concerned about their own power. This Pelosi situation of sabotage is a good example of how many Democrats are only concerned about their own power. I am not in favor of the bailout. But this is a good illustration of how politics works. A lot of damage is being done to the country by those who lust after power.

Congratulations Right-Wing Nuts...Well done, morons.

I don't know if you know this or not, but Free Republic is not a forum for whining socialists like you.

Most of those of us who opposed this bill have done so on principle, knowing that our own 401k's and investments might be better served in the short run by this bailout.

The idea of principle is that you do what is right and if it causes you pain, then so be it. McCain was stupid to claim victory for a bill that he should have known (if he had any political sense at all) would go down in flames.

There are morons on this forum for sure. But they are not the right wing nuts. They are the whining socialist wanna be's who think that the government is the answer to all their problems.

Be Gone Troll.

FUNNY!

Yesterday the MSM had plastered all over the place that:

OBAMA CLAIMS CREDIT FOR BILL ( I WAS IN CONSTANT TOUCH WITH PAULSEN .............. AND THEY ACCEPTED ALL OF OUR STAFF TALKING POINTS IN THE BILL).

BILL IS VOTED DOWN.....POPULIST UPRISING. TODAY: ( Complete Propaganda Change)

MCCAIN CLAIMS CREDIT FOR BILL..... PLASTERED ALL OVER THE PLACE

The MSM is a riot. What a bunch of F'n Clowns. Mike Allen needs tarred and feathering, yet again.

America is now really seeing this kind of crap, and is paying attention. The MSM is actually NOW ruining any chance Obama had at the presidency. I LOVE IT!

This is why Senators are never elected President. Obama gets it, McCain does not. There is a reason he lost in 2000, and a reason Gore lost that same year. They are both losers.
