Wow. A letter to the editor "pollutes the jury pool". ATF should be abolished.

Abolish the ATF would mean Janet Reno would have to remove those pictures of Elian Gonzales's ‘’rescue’’ from her wall of fame and the ‘’liberation’’ of the Branch Divides next to them.

ATF should be a convenience store, not a law enforcement agency.

Why in the world would you think an agency issuing accessories with “Always Think Forfeiture” inscribed would infringe upon your rights?

ATF goes against Second Amendment

Can anyone provide an example of any federal agency who's actions and policies support the Second Amendment?

On the day of the jury selection, go to the court house and hand out literature on the real meaning of the 2nd Amendment and documented abuses of the ATF without mentioning one word of the case.

Remember, we’re talking about the Bureau of F.A.T.E here.

...There were many old timers working for the ATF who had their heads screwed on straight and who were pro-gun, pro-Second Amendment types. I have two friends, both retired from the ATF, who are fine fellows. One in particular dedicated a good part of his life to youth firearms safety training in the 4H. He was a man of the highest “caliber.” No doubt, there are still people working for the ATF who are reputable, but the agency’s whole mission and focus has been so turned against the citizens of the United States that I have little respect for what it’s now doing.

I'm sure that Butch is correct about the newer crop of agents suffering in contrast to some of the older guys, but the problem of "overly zealous" agents has actually plagued BATFE from its earliest days. The era of Prohibition, still-busting and Eliot Ness is long gone, boys. Quit trying to find "Public Enemy Number One" behind every gunshop sales counter.

Not content to try to destroy the Second Amendment, the ATF is now going after the First Amendment. How much more clear could it be, that this agency is out of control?

The BATF should be disolved, at the very least it’s management forbidden to work in law enforcement in the future.
