Obama sought rape victim for ad
Barack Obama's campaign earlier this month sought to find a rape victim to appear in a campaign commercial, according to an email obtained by Politico.
Kiersten Steward, director of public policy at the Family Violence Prevention Fund, served as a conduit between the campaign and victims and women's advocates.
"Obviously, this is a big ask and I havent seen a script but presumably it will be a brief this is what happened to me, we need someone who will fight for women like me, these are the guys to do it," Steward wrote in a September 15th email. "Again, thats just my assumption given how these things usually go."
Steward, a former top aide to Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), said the Obama campaign would have a crew in Washington and was hoping to film that week.
She didn't respond to a message.

Hey, Hussein Obama, howz’ ‘bout Juanita Broadrick” Huh? She was a rape victim . . . huh?
Did they try contacting Juanita Broaddrick?
Beyond the pale
WOW. It’s a shame more people haven’t seen this. I guess it is the keywords.
Tail wagging the dog.
My father injured himself so badly once, that I didn’t have time to wait for an ambulance. The only chance to save his life was putting him in the car and driving as fast as I could to the hospital. Had I obeyed the speed limit I would not have gotten him there in time to save his life.
That’s why we need to eliminate all speed limit laws.
Becomming pregnant because of a rape is a horrible thing, but it is the exception, not the rule. Abortion advocates pound on this point as a reason for lealizing ALL abortions. It isn’t.It is a special case that can (and should) be handled by an exception in the law for cases of rape.
So we’ll get a woman to say that she was raped and if she gets pregnant she wants to kill the baby?
“The Obama campaign wouldn’t detail the strategy behind finding an individual to discuss such a sensitive topic, but did suggest the ad may be aimed at underscoring their candidate’s support for abortion rights and ongoing effort to retain those women that backed Hillary Clinton in the primary.”
donesn’t McCain believe woman who have been raped should have abortion as an option???
Could be playing off the “Sarah Palin made rape victims pay for their own rape kit” story that has since been disproven.
I’m thinkin that ad would be more like this kind of slime:
(Camera shows a tearful woman sitting in a chair) she looks in the camera with a face full of sorrow and grief and says:
“I was raped!...And now the Republicans want to force me to have my rapists baby! ...John McCain, Sarah Palin! You have no right!”
How deep can these people dig their gutters?
Tell ‘em to contact me.
I have an aquaintance who was raped and became pregnant. She now has a 7-year-old little boy. Life is tough as a single parent, but she still campaigns against all abortions...
If she had a choice, she would probably kill the rapist, not the child...
The James Byrd strategy:
“When John McCain was nominated for president, it was like I was raped all over again.”
It’s pronounced Ecks-Ploy-Tay-Shun...
That sounds like a great idea for a new law. If a woman is raped, she can kill the rapist without chance of punishment. Wonder how the libs would take to that idea?
Once this “buy out” goes through, most of us hardworking taxpayers will be rape victims.
I’m sure there are plenty of adults who were the product of rape who might have a thing or two to say to counter this nasty strategy.
