Yesterday it was Mr Brown Coffees and now Cadbury Chocolates. What's next?

I'm not clear on the current policy here re AP stories-- as to whether we are to excerpt a couple sentences or to provide link only, so I'll just provide a link to the story.

What’s the problem?

So a kid dies from someone making more profit - what’s the big deal?

We’re all just evolved animals anyway.

/sarc necessary?

Well, at least I won’t be tempted to buy Hallowen candy.

My name’s Susan and yes, I’m a chocoholic.

Who knew Cadbury chocolates were made in China. An informed consumer is a wise consumer.

I’ve been waiting for this. My fear is this is just the beginning.

Melamine is put in anything they want to up the “protein” content, including anything with milk products, baby food, animal feed, etc.

Then go to your closet and look at all the ingredients on your packaged food and guess what may have content from China. Go to your closet and look and your meds, your toothpastes, etc. So many of these created ingredients are bought premade from China.

The fact is, the one party system is primed for this kind of disaster. The only downside is if you get in trouble in China, you get a bullet instead of a subpeona.

And Obama thinks their efficiency is wonderful. Scary.

Baby milk, chocolate, toothpaste, coffee, dog food, etc. All were described as “contaminated”, as if some bit of toxin accidentally fell in the mixing bowl and nobody knew. All these products were intentionally mixed with toxins to make a few yuan. They didn’t care who died.

Cadbury's makes their chocolates at a large factory just west of Birmingham England. That's also the site of the Cadbuby World amusement park. It appears that this is some kind of factory for the far east market. I'd be willing to bet that this factory isn't even owned by Cadbury.

Cheaper for Cadbury to do business this way, but bad results are bad results. I don't think any sane person or company should let the Chinese anywhere near food production or distribution, not even pet food. It wasn't very long ago that pets were dying from Chinese products.

It’s no big deal..

The Melamine Swirls were never as popular as the Crunchy Frog or the Cockroach Clusters anyway..

I don’t buy A N Y T H I N G that is made or packaged in China as far as I know. I read E V E R Y label and even in a few cases I wrote to companies and asked if part of their product came through or from China.

If enough of us ask questions maybe companies will get the hint.

It is okay to post excerpts from AP articles again.

I was told that the Cadbury chocolate sold in the U.S. is actually made by Hershey.

When are we going to get smart and ban all food products coming from China?

“When are we going to get smart and ban all food products coming from China?”

When enough of us die they may. So far we’re just expendable collateral damage in this ‘economic war’. It would be nice if we could just get it labeled so we have the choice of avoiding.

When they can't retaliate by dumping a trillion dollars worth of US Treasuries, sinking our economy faster than the Titanic.

Apparently 80% to 90% of vitamins purchased in this country are made in China, or have ingredients made in china - think about that. I have called distributors here in the States and they flatly Deny this, but who can you believe anymore? From politicians to the private sector, lies and bull crap seems to be the order of the day.

Well, it will take a while for the Chinese to get industrial capitalism right. We went through this kind of crap (not involving melamine, but other contaminants) back in the late 1800’s.

By some sort of irony, the Chinese ‘Communists’ need a dose of the ‘progressivism’ from back in the day when the ‘progressive’ movement included Teddy Roosevelt.
