Following the controversy over the authenticity of Barack Obama's birth certificate can be a bit confusing with all its detailed analysis. Your humble correspondent will leave that up to the experts. However, in response to the charge that Barack Obama is not an American citizen, Obama's Fight the Smears website, quoting FactCheck.Org, has made a bombshell admission...Barack Obama was once a citizen of Kenya. You read that right, Obama had Kenyan citizenship until 1982. Here is the startling admission published in Fight the Smears (emphasis mine):
When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdoms dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.s children.
Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.

Can you prove that McCain does NOT have Panamanian citizenship?
Let's look at it this way. Does an American citizen, born in another country, ask for his/her citizenship or do they just pop out of the womb without asking for American citizenship? If an American is born in another country, does that make him/her a citizen of that country and, if it does, does it over ride his/her American citizenship?
If the answer to the last question is no, then why should American citizenship, forced onto a Kenyan national who happened to be born in the US(Hawaii for instance), over ride the Kenyan citizenship? Your arguments are nonsense.
Was BHO in fact born in Hawaii? We don't know that. We do know the COLB that he had posted on the net is a fake. 3 people, independently, proved it to be fake. So why is he so reluctant to show his original Hawaiian birth certificate? Could it be he doesn't have one? It is extremely important that this issue be resolved and the more he procrastinates the more I become convinced he is not a US natural born citizen.
I still doubt he was born in Hono. I suspect he was born in Keyna.
Glad my explanation helped.
The Drudgereport ad positions are “leased” out to ad networks who buy and broker lots of impressions - reselling them as part of a network (of sites) offering to advertisers.
Drudge’s “news” operation is one thing, but his ad sales and placement is farmed out to a number of ad networks who pay him for bulk impressions. To a limited level he probably has control over the ads that run on his site, but the advertisers probably don’t enjoy any such leverage. It’s a take it or leave it proposition in that regard.
obama did nothing to keep the dual status that he was born with, did he?
You pose a hypothetical that doesn't even mirror obama's case and then write that my argument is nonsense. That is rich.
Show us where obama did anything to either reject his US citizenship or maintain his Kenyan status. Can you? Go ahead...
Somehow I think you won't.
Sounds like something that was automatically imputed to him, and automatically revoked, with no action on his part either way at a time he had little awareness of the weight thereof. So long as he retained US citizenship continuously from birth, I don’t see how any tangential & imputed now-expired dual citizenships can be a legally disqualifying factor.
The core simple issue remains: where was he born? The OP does not answer that, and only obfuscates the issue with an interesting but legally irrelevant tangent.
Dual citizenship is perfectly legal under US law. I am a Naturalized US citizen but also a citizen of 2 other countries. This is perfectly legal and the US government is aware of this. It would also probably surprise you that I legally have 3 passports. Check the State Department’s website on this issue.
When I acquired US citizenship, I was not required to give up other citizenships- the oath I took only required me to swear off any other allegiances.
What facts? You offer no facts only suppositions. How do you know Bozo did nothing to keep his Kenyan citizenship? How do you know that he is a natural born citizen of the US, there is no proof of that? He has never produced a bona fide copy of a real birth certificate. I can't prove he didn't do anything to keep his Kenyan birth citizenship but I can prove he has done nothing to restore his US citizenship, which is required of people who carry a foreign citizenship from birth and whose citizenship was renounced by his parents. He has never done so.
The main thing is this: You talk about facts but have none to present, nothing but what you think. I, on the other hand, have the fact that Bozo was indeed a citizen of Kenya and the additional fact he has never proved he is a US natural born citizen, even though his campaign made a big issue out of McCain being born in the Panama Canal district and made him produce proof BHO is procrastinating and refuses to produce proof that he is a US citizen. These are the facts and they can't be refuted, especially not by your conjecture that BHO is somehow a US citizen and need not prove it to anyone. BozObama has a double standard and that is also a fact.
good luck.
That's certainly interesting.
I recently discovered that I’m technically an Italian citizen. My great grandfather came to the US in 1913. In 1943 he became a US citizen and had to renounce his Italian citizenship, which was US law until the 1960s. However, my grandfather was born in 1920 and under Italian law citizenship went to him (since my GGF hadn’t renounced yet), although he did nothing to ever act on it and was unaware of it. So of course he never specifically went to an Italian consulate and renounced it, either. From him Italian citizenship flowed to my mother and from her to me. If I pull together the right bunch of papers, I can have an Italian passport in addition to my US passport.

You're probably right that Obama did nothing active to gain the citizenship or to sustain it. If something shows up that he benefitted from it or used it in some way, such as traveling under a Kenyan passport, then maybe a point could be made from that.
However, simply pointing it out to the public would not be telling a lie. It might be a bit "impolitic," but that's what hardball politics is, right? Use your surrogates to put the thought out there, and throw Obama off message for a news cycle. Heck, it might even inflame him a bit and make him arrogant or angry in his on-camera demeanor.
You never can tell what might come from something that was just "thrown out there." That's why politicians do it in these campaigns, because you never can tell what kind of gaffe somebody might make when riled up over a non-controversy.
The only thing you can guarantee is that nothing will come from it if nothing is said about it. Say something, and all bets are off.

Except that the ‘whisper campaign’ is doing nothing to get obama off message. It is though getting a bunch of freepers to chase their own tails.
Would you disqualify a Jewish candidate for president for fear that they might have a small feeling of allegiance towards Israel?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Only if they hold or have held Israeli citizenship! This is why the constitution says “natural born” rather than just requiring citizenship, it is to avoid conflicting loyalty.
Maybe he's just taking the Kerry lesson to an extreme, or maybe he has a need to be right all the time and can't take criticism. Whatever it is, we have to keep jabbing at him. Just like a boxer, you don't hold back and wait only for the knockout punch, you throw jabs even when you think you won't land a hit, you mix it up with some combinations to throw your opponent off-balance, and then wait for an opportunity while pressing your own advantages.
We gotta keep throwing the jabs, too. We can't hold them back because we're so sure they won't score.

Cheers.
“Did he pop out of the womb and ask for Kenyan citizenship”
It’s much better than that. Some of his relatives SAY HE WAS BORN IN KENYA!!!!!
“It is obvious that Obama was born in Kenya and does not meet the qualifications to be President of the United States pursuant to our United States Constitution. Obama cannot produce a certified copy of his Vault [original long version] Birth Certificate from Hawaii because it does not exist.”
You may remember his “vacation” a few weeks ago in Hawaii. I suspect it was to get the documentation he needed in Hawaii, a heavy Democrat state but maybe fraud was too strong even for a democrat who worked in the state government. He still doesn’t have ANYTHING to squash the lawsuit.
“Because neither he, nor Palin or McCain or Biden...or Bush or Kerry or Gore are/were required to do so (produce a birth certificate)”
But Obama is being sued because he apparently can’t provide a simple document that the others easily could provide.
