'Fight the Smears' Website Admits Obama was Kenyan Citizen: Where's the MSM?

Following the controversy over the authenticity of Barack Obama's birth certificate can be a bit confusing with all its detailed analysis. Your humble correspondent will leave that up to the experts. However, in response to the charge that Barack Obama is not an American citizen, Obama's Fight the Smears website, quoting FactCheck.Org, has made a bombshell admission...Barack Obama was once a citizen of Kenya. You read that right, Obama had Kenyan citizenship until 1982. Here is the startling admission published in Fight the Smears (emphasis mine):

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia last week, also names the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission and says Mr. [Hussein] Obama´s mother went to Kenya late in her pregnancy and ended up giving birth there. It also claims that later in life, Mr. [Hussein] Obama declared himself a citizen of Indonesia.

The DNC was served at 12:00 p.m. and Senator [Hussein] Obama was served at 1:00 p.m. The U.S. Attorney’s Office accepted service on behalf of the Federal Elections Committee (FEC) on or about August 22, 2008.

The [Hussein] Obama campaign has firmly said the Illinois Democrat is a natural-born citizen. Last month, the campaign posted on Mr. [Hussein] Obama’s Web site a copy of his “certification of live birth.” It says he was born in Honolulu on Aug. 4, 1961, two years after Hawaii was named the 50th state. The Birth Certificate published by [Hussein] Obama on his campaign website (still there, by the way) and distributed to the media, was forged because the real BC on file is in the name Soetoro, an identity he apparently wanted to hide from the American people.

The Docket shows when Stanley Ann Soetoro filed for divorce against Lolo Soetoro. The marriage is important because bases on the laws at the time, it affects [Hussein] Obama’s citizenship and likely caused him to be an Indonesian citizen and no longer an American citizen. The divorce decree proves that the marriage existed.

Dual/Other Citizenship [Hussein] Obama (?):
Article II of the Constitution requires to have only one, The United States of America — natural born.
Reports exist that [Hussein] Obama had traveled to Pakistan in 1981 on an Indonesian Passport (one must be a citizen of Indonesia to obtain an Indonesian Passort).

These are indeed troubling issues. Not only that, but there is a concerted effort to conceal Hussein Obama’s documents from the general public.

I think the point is that if we suddenly found out that Palin also had citizenship with another country the MSM would be screaming it from top top of their headlines across the country for days and demand an investigation and her removal from the ticket until the investigattion was complete.

Irrelevance? The whole Kenyan citizenship thing was an accident of birth. Had Obama taken any steps to get the citizenship in the first place, or retain that citizenship when he became an adult, then you might have a case. But it appears that he merely did nothing and it lapsed automatically.

I never said he did. My point is that this has been floating around for a while but the MSM never mentions it. If it were McCain or Palin they would run articles like "The Rumor that won't die: Does Sarah Palin have dual-citizenship"?

So this was an IMPORTANT biographical fact that has never been reported by the MSM. Having once had dual citizenship doesn't disqualify Obama from running but it is a very interesting biographical fact that has been suppressed. I never heard of another presidential candidate that ever had dual citizenship. If John McCain had once held dual citizenship, you think this fact wouldn't be all over the MSM?
