Has America Been Defeated Without a Shot Being Fired?
My Nightmare | Sept. 26, 2008 | RetSignman

Posted on 09/28/2008 9:26:02 AM PDT by RetSignman

The Founding Fathers said we have given you a Republic if you can hold on to it. In the midst of the financial ruin, the corruption of our leaders, the endemic voter fraud and the worldwide destruction of the faith in America, we are done. The open abuse of the press has violated the very foundation of Freedom of the Press and is nothing more than a propaganda machine geared towards abject socialism for this country.

President Reagan's policy destroyed the Soviet Union by crippling their economy and bringing them to their knees, is it unrealistic, to see this is exactly what we are now seeing in America? The only factor missing is who is behind our destruction. Is it the reemergence of the Soviet Union? Is it Communist China? Is it the Nation of Islam, Iran? Or a combination of many exterior forces including the useful idiots of members of our own Congress? The face behind our destruction and defeat is a shadowy figure that will never be seen until our country is on its knees. The useful idiots will be brushed aside and the face will be revealed for all to see.

I have always been a person who has looked at the glass as being half full, I have taken heart in our small victory's of revealing political malfeasance in office only to see them remain in power. I have seen the people we have elected and believed in, go to Washington and become nothing more than washed out shell of why we elected them.. I have been naive in believing that our country would always be on the side of right and our that our Constitution would never be abridged. I, naively, believed that if we were on the edge of destruction, true patriots would emerge and fight back and save our nation. I have seen none, they are not there, all we have are politicians with their main goal is self, clutching to their power as a child would of his security blanket.

The final nail has been driven into the heart of our Republic when the our Congress, the protectors of our Constitution, the only fire wall we have to protect this Republic, bowed down on it's knees to the alter of socialism. They have ripped apart the very essence of the Constitution and rendered it just ancient paper with words of Patriots with hopes and dreams for our Republic. We have betrayed their trust, we have stood by silently and watched the incremental destruction of our country and put our future in the hands of the spineless, the power hungry, the undeserving and the corrupt.

Now that we are at our most vulnerable with our economy in shambles, the faith in our government shattered, the shadowy figures that harbor hatred towards our way of life can strangle the final breath out of this Republic.

Flame away but show me any light at the end of the tunnel because right now I need it.

America 1.0 may be coming to an end, but that's not to say our best days are behind us.

Obama knows that the old republic is dying. He's looking forward to it, because only in great crisis will people follow where he wants to lead. He wants America's real estate and people, but the rest of it needs to burn before society can be reorganized.

And if not Obama, then the next leader will succeed. Or the next. Or the next. The cultural safeguards against authoritarianism are gone, and the left will push and push and push until liberty gives way to enlightened autocracy. Their eventual success is guaranteed. There are simply too many Americans now whose votes are for sale, or who value imposing their virtues over the gutter vice of freedom.

So we're pretty much screwed on that front. By any historical or political model, we're nearing the end phase of being a functional democratic republic.

That said, there is opportunity in the wind. The spirits of liberty, common sense and rebellion are dormant but strong. Though our current way of life is not sustainable, the seeds for a renewal of freedom, basic rights, and limited government are inherent in the rejection of the tyranny-for-your-own-good that is to come. What style of autocrat we inherit, or what form of rebellion we sustain, will be America's future.

The only thing that won't happen is for out way of life to continue as it always has. We're on melting ice, and it's not coming back anytime soon. We either learn to swim, or learn to fly, or wait to become extinct.

I have never understood the media’s desire for socialism/communism. I suppose they believe they will not be touched by some despot’s whims. Little do they know, if they ever protest, they will cease to exist themselves. Bye bye Katie, Wolf, Charlie. Russia has ONE media outlet. Can you imagine? ONE television station broadcasting the propaganda? These youngsters so desirous of change have never had ONE channel to choose from. Their choice will be only the “dear leaders” want them to know.

“And booze” Not at $8 a beer or whatever they charge. I find it hard to believe that maximum alcohol revenue is being generated at these outrageous prices.

Crazed nighttime talk show host say yes! we lost to the enemy within: the Bush Administration.

2008 elections to be suspended, economic problems could be a ruse says berserk radio host!

CoastToCoastAM is the most listen-to nighttime radio program

Last night on the weekend edition of CoastToCoastAM Ian Punnett went berserk claiming that Bush/Cheney will most likely suspend the election. As evidence he cited Senator McCain's use of the word suspend in describing his return to Washington -- the guy is a U.S. Senator, Mr. Punnett.

Punnett used comments posted on a couple of web sites as sources. Is the Internet a kind of high-tech Tower of Babel? We ain't communicating.

Both the weekday host Noory and Punnett absolutely loathe the President and Vice-President.

On another thread this morning I came under some criticism when I expressed the opinion that Bush has been the worst President of my lifetime. My point was that, in far too many ways, he governed as a liberal yet claimed to be a conservative, hurting both our country and the Republican brand.

If your analysis is correct, and it may be, given that President Bush has been the prime backer of this bailout, then he might actually be the worst president ever.

It’s time for the Third Bank of the united States to fail.

You couldn’t be more right, our Republic has finally reached the stage where vast majority of it’s citizens look ONLY on government for answers. The ‘Free Press’ has successfully re-educated the public, the schools have done the same for our children.

The public has become fat, lazy, ignorant and complacent and unaware of their true future.

As obama has clearly stated...”The time is NOW” and has warned McCain and indirectly the public...”You don’t know what you are up against”

Yes.

If you read the 10 major points of the communist manifesto, they are almost done. It's over. My 6 year old boy will live under communism and there is nothing I can do about it.

My father -in-law did 2 years time in Castro's labor camps to get his family out. He cannot believe he went through all that to die under communist rule here.

I really have no idea how to prepare for the fuure.

[I really have no idea how to prepare for the future.]

Believe me, the options are few, getting the public to open their eyes to what’s coming is next to impossible. They are spooned fed propaganda daily by the American version of Pravda.

Informing your neighbors is about the only option left on any personal level or starting like minded community groups.

I know what happened to Cuban people because I was down there just after Castro gained power. Many Cuban’s worked on our Naval base and related to me the destitution and destruction he had caused.

My sympathies go out to all who are blinded to the truth before us.

Hitler 1937:

“The National Socialist Revolution was almost entirely a bloodless proceeding. When the party took over power in Germany, after overthrowing the very formidable obstacles that had stood in its way, it did so without causing any damage whatsoever to property. I can say with a certain amount of pride that this was the first revolution in which not even a window-pane was broken.”

"The only way to change this is to limit voting to the “payers”. The “net recipients” have a conflict of interest and are not voting in the best long term interests of the country, or themselves."

I agree! By changing over to The Fair TAX" that would make everyone "payers". No more IRS. No more income tax. No more embedded tax. No more corporate tax. No capitol gains tax. No more death tax / inheritance tax. No more marriage penalty tax.

Everyone, no matter what income level from whatever source would patricipate in and contribute to and have an investment in the "system". Everyone would pay into the government...NOT just receive from it.

Historian Alexander Tyler said about the fall of the Athenian Republic: "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy..."

By your statement, you have given me my tool to use to protest this socialist plan to nationalize our banking system and I plan to use it tomorrow.

I plan to leave just enough money in my bank to keep my bills paid and deposit more when it’s needed, nothing more. Interest on my money be damned.

Thank you.

No disagreement here.

While I have not heard the word socialism used by the left, they have made no other effort to hide their intentions.

This has been evolving for decades. Once they took over the government schools, it was over.
