Ted Baxter strikes again

Bill O is big on boycotts. I say we boycott HIS advertisers until he gets a clue. He's already bashed Freepers. Let's give him something to really whine about.

Well, he got Bawney Frank right at least.....

Might be insulting to toads and former Yankees pitcher Hideki Irabu though...

some of you are having a knee jerk reacion to what Bill said.

He’s right. Bush, as president, didn’t DO ENOUGH to bring this to the attention of the American people. Sure, he brought this up many times to congress but that should have been his clue that he needed the rest of us to understand what was going on. And he didn’t. You know why? Bush might be a repubilcan but he was never a leader..not of the conservative movement. Bush slept at the wheel on this even though he didn’t create this monster. That I agree was democrats doing...but Bush, like in so many other things, is just too slow and myopic.

compassionate conservatism is just liberal speak for BIG GOVERNMENT SPENDER.

Republican Party is made up of spineless wimps who don’t want to upset the good thing they have in DC.

And now we have McCancer, the ultimate RINO and his sidekick with Police Chief Marge Gunderson who is isn’t allowed to talk to anyone unless it’s scripted by the McCain campaign.

Ancient Rome is jumping for joy. They no longer will be the biggest society to have failed.

agreed, he also doesn’t know anything about the law and needs to be slapped down hard by Megyn, the judge, and few others of the lawyers that he always shouts down.

"Yeah, but it would be fun to see him smack Dodd and Frank...."

Yep. The problem with Bill is that he hasn't figured out the big picture. He sees the extremes on the right and left but he hasn't figured out how the leftist extremists play off the far right. I think he gives the far left too much slack and doesn't see that they are organized to the max...as in leftist shadow government intent on bring down the economy.

I’m not sure taking shots at RUSH and his audience is the way to go considering that they’re probably 80% of BOR’s audience.

BOR is skating on thin ice and I wouldn’t be surprised if his rating take a steady dive over the next two months.

that was good entertainment though I’ll give him that.

someone pass the kool-aid and popcorn

Whether or not BO is an idiot or a genius, it doesn't really matter. He's not running for office.

Now, that said, he did seem to confound and conflate the "cause of the crisis", the "existence of the crisis", and the "cure for the crisis".

Of course I listened to Limbaugh yesterday and he did pretty much the same thing, as did most of his callers. In fact, we have people on FR (the overwhelming majority of posters on the issue) who seem to find it impossible to separte the "cause" from the "existence" from the "cure". Over on the far left, Barney Frank couldn't get past covering his butt ~ because so many people have brought forward evidence that he is, in fact, the sole cause except for the part created by Jamie Gorelick and her running dog lackeys.

So, why such a big problem in figuring this one out?

For one thing it's the scale. Let's use the illegal aliens from Mexico as an example. They save an enormous percentage of their earnings and send them to Mexico to support families and "invest". Before the crisis they were $24 billion per year. In 1997 they were about $5 billion. That's an average of about $15 billion per annum. Beranke and crowd say the crisis is worth $700 billion. That'd be 47 years worth of Mexicans sending at least half their income back to Mexico.

Clearly the illegals, by themselves, are not causing the drain on liquidity. Oil, of course, is a big item. Currently it's running at $700 billion a year, so that plays a part. Still, the people getting it redeposit a great deal of it right back in the banking system, so could that be draining liquidity?

Try this, too much housing in America. We have reached dwelling unit satori in real time. There are enough empty, reasonably well built, well-equipped, and decent dwelling units for every American, and for every visitor, legal and illegal.

Is this having a special effect? I was thinking this condition could lower the price of housing by a major fraction. With about $6 trillion in housing, a 5.75% decline would easily result in $700 billion in lost liquidity provided, of course, that at least that much housing value had been used to create equity loans above the amount represented by value otherwise mortgaged.

I'm not arguing on behalf of any particular problem as being the "cause" but it's pretty clear remittances to Mexico aren't a major problem. Even oil payments can account for only a portion. A 5.75% drop in the value of existing housing could account for the whole enchilada.

Housing dropped about 20%, and odds are good that only 1/4 of that value consisted of property pledged to loans used for "investment".

So, why did we crack the housing nut? We did it? Even Dubai hasn't done it and they've got nothing but money! So how did we do it?

For one thing we have an almost infinite access to provincial government subsidized raw lumber for construction from Canada. Secondly, we brought in millions of Mexican low-wage workers to build that surplus of housing under direction.

I've been saying for years that we have sell outs on the right. Why was all the bad paper covered up? Because the crooks on the right were in bed with the commies. The commies want to bring down the economy and the crooks just want to make money....America be damned.

I sometimes agree with Bo’r and sometimes I don’t... but he is at least not in the bag for democraps, and you know what you are getting with him.

That is a hell of a lot better than the Democrat News Network (formerly CNN)

Did anyone see them last night? It was actually horrifying to think that in the olden days (1990’s) they were the ONLY source of information. In less than 10 minutes my blood was boiling

I got a call supposedly from the NRA the other day. They wanted money. I asked the lady on the phone if they supported Obama or McCain. She said something about them not dealing with that. I said that we’re in the middle of an election campaign and the NRA has no opinion??? I told it was a useless phone call.

Why would I send money to an organization who 40 days out of an election didn’t know whose side they were on?

Are you living in a cave? On the NRA website

----------------------------------------------

As we enter the home stretch of this year's critically important election, two things are certain: First, the winner of the election will have a profound effect on your Second Amendment rights, and second, to make an informed decision, you need to be informed. It's crucial that you know where the candidates stand on the Second Amendment so that you can make the right choice.

One thing we do know: If elected, Barack Obama would be the most anti-gun president in American history. Obama says "words matter." But when it comes to your Second Amendment rights, he refuses to speak honestly about where he stands. He hides behind carefully chosen words and vague statements of support for sportsmen and gun rights to sidestep and camouflage the truth.

But his real record, based on votes taken, political associations, and long standing positions, shows that Barack Obama is a serious threat to our Second Amendment liberties. Don't listen to his campaign rhetoric! Look instead to what he has said and done during his entire political career.

If you'd like to take a closer look at just where Barack Obama stands on issues related to the Second Amendment (and you should), we've got you covered. NRA's Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has designed a comprehensive, and very informative website--GunBanObama.com--to serve as a resource for the facts on Barack Obama's anti-Second Amendment stance. The site is loaded with features and information that you, as a gun owner, will need for yourself, and to educate your fellow Second Amendment advocates.

And we just added a brand new feature that you need to see! It's called "OMatch," and it features a "compatibility quiz" you can take to see if you and your stances on gun-related issues are compatible with Obama and his stances. We encourage you to go to GunBanObama.com today and take the quiz to see how your views match-up with Obama's. You can even embed the quiz in your website or blog so that others can take it.

GunBanObama.com is a must-see website that you will want to pass along to anyone you know who loves freedom and supports the Second Amendment.

Please visit GunBanObama.com TODAY and add this website as one of your bookmarks. And be sure to forward it to others who need to be informed. Then, turn your information in to ACTION.

Well, hangon. He actually didn't go to Harvard until well after he had his career - AFTER he got booted from Inside Edition.

I'm not really sure why he bothered to go there for a second masters, this one in public education.

BOR was wrong to say it’s Bush’s fault. I agree with you that O’Reilly is right the Bush didn’t do enough to sound the shofar, so to speak.

I don’t watch the man’s show anymore because it is a bore.

But on this point, he is right. If Bush’s warnings to Congress fell on deaf ears, as did McCain’s, and as did Hillary’s (supposedly), then who had the bully pulpit?

This is not 1960 anymore, there are TOO MANY OUTLETS to go directly to the people.

Now, I don’t pretend to know whether the bail out is the right or wrong thing to do. I’m not that smart about these things, and I doubt that most Freepers howling about BOR are either. But for heaven’s sake, if Bush called Rush and said, “Will you interview me?” on this matter, do you think Rush would have said no?

Look who’s telling us whom we can and can’t trust!

Bill is W-A-A-A-Y too jealous of a certain “big cigar-smoking” jet owner and right-wing radio host. What an issue to use as a means of trying to discredit Rush! Disgusting.

Barack Obama Encourages Supporters to Lie About His Gun Ban Record

Friday, September 19, 2008

In an appearance in Nevada, anti-gun presidential candidate Barack Obama told his followers:

“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” he said.

“And if they tell you that, ‘Well, we’re not sure where he stands on guns.’ I want you to say, ‘He believes in the Second Amendment.’” (http://www.lasvegasnow.com/Global/story.asp?S=8999386&nav=168XYT17)

Barack Obama has gone beyond lying about his long anti-gun record. Now he is inciting his followers to lie for him and to be aggressive and confrontational with anyone who will not buy his lies.

The truth must scare Obama, and the truth is, Barack Obama is the most anti-gun candidate who has ever run on a major party ticket in American history. Don’t buy Obama’s lies. Or the lies repeated by his misguided followers.

For the truth, visit GunBanObama.com.
