Zogby Predicting a McCain Landslide?
Federal Review ^ | 09/25/08

BROCKPORT, NEW YORK--Pollster John Zogby hinted Thursday (September 25) that he sees a McCain landslide as a real possibility.

According to the Rochester (NY) Democrat and Chronicle:(O) ne of the country’s top pollsters thinks the race will end in an electoral landslide.

John Zogby, president of Zogby International, told a group of businesspeople today that it’s up to Democratic Sen. Barack Obama to convince voters to go with him. If he’s not successful, the country will likely vote for “a comfortable old shoe”, that being Republican Sen. John McCain.

Despite the books Obama has written, Americans are still asking, “Who are you, where are you from?,” Zogby said.

Also on Thursday, Zogby released his latest poll, which found that a slim majority favored McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, over Obama and running mate Joe Biden. A week earlier, Obama and Biden held the lead.

If McCain/Palin win in Nov. 4th Hillary will start campaigning Nov. 5th. And on Jan. 20th '09 everything will be McCain's fault, and Sarah will the princess of darkness that causes hurricanes and earthquakes.

These idiots never rest, and they are not going to let us rest.

RE: “........My 13 year old son has observed that homes with Obama signs don’t fly American flags..........”

It’s true here, too, in my older suburb of Los Angeles. It’s a very Dem area and has been since the fifties, when the homes were built. I know this as I grew up here.

There are few American flags flown, but most of those that are flown belong to “R” voters. My immediate neighbors (raging libs) clearly detest seeing my flag every single day. My house is painted pure white, too — white with an American flag. Love it.

Recently my family went to Hawaii. Great trip, and came home with a couple of stickers for car windows. Seems benign enough, right?

Well, one super lib next door was clearly unnerved last week to see me outside applying something to my car’s back window. She pretended to be busy on her front porch but I caught her watching me — no doubt she breathed a sign of relief to discover my new sticker was simply that of .....
a Maui hibiscus.

I believe that Zogby is probably on the right track here.

If McCain wins in a landslide (man I hope Zogby is right), how would that affect the Congressional races?

My job requires me to be all over town. I’m seeing more McCain signs than Obama signs. What puzzles me is that I do not see Obama signs in the sections of the city where I’d expect, namely section 8 house, low income housing, etc.

Up until the last few days I was seeing more Obama stickers on cars, but that is changing. I think its about even now. Seems like a lot of people have very recently taken a public stand in favor of McCain.

Yes, 1996. That was his big moment. He said Dole would close well.

Well, if even ZOGBY is hinting that he agrees with me I’ll have no trouble with the slings and arrows from my FRiends. LOL

Thanks for the ammo Zogby. Notice the backhand compliment calling McCain a “comfortable old shoe”. You know Zobgy doesn’t have a horse in this race. /s

I can’t imagine it hurting our position on those races. Some people who don’t care for the top of their ticket stay home. If some leftists do, that would help.

I honestly don’t know how to gauge what the overall impact would be. I’d imagine folks that crossed over to vote McCain, would still vote for their favorite lefty in their home district. Still, who knows...

I heard McCain just opened 50 offices here in CA. I guess the internals tell a different story. No enthusiasm in CA for Obama.

Not nearly as much as it COULD HAVE. The RINO’S who still run the party failed to even RUN candidates in many competitive and even RED districts this election cycle.

They figured there was no way they could run against the powerhouse and beloved Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and their 9% approval ratiing. RINO’S are worse than democrats. RINO’S need to be herded and put out to pasture November 5th.

if Clinton is to make his point about how the radicals screwed up the democrat party, the defeat must be totally crushing.

I believe it will be totally crushing. IMO that's why the DemocRATs are so desperately trying every dirty trick.

No, the RINO's need to be herded out during the primaries. After that better a RINO than a RAT.

Well, November 5th comes before the primaries. The RINO’s are choosing WHO runs. If we ALL don’t make a concerted effort to get conservatives elected in the primaries we are fighting a losing battle. The RINO’s who conspire with RAT’s are worse, they are the enemy within.

That's because Obama's books are fairy tales.

As I have repeatedly said, attrition will smother Obama.
As people find out what he really is, there can be no turning back, and all the states are visibly gravitating away from Obama, more so than toward McCain.
